“A great locals place for seafood”
Reviewed October 18, 2011

Our family loves finding restaurants where locals eat whenever we go on vacation. We have a second home in Kingston Plantation and have driven by Bimini's for years but never visited. This time we tried it and we will return. The atmosphere is nothing fancy and the biggest negative is the lack of place to wait if you have a large party. However, once you are seated the customer service and good seafood make up for the negatives. Best of all, our kids loved it!

“Try the Tuna Chili & Hushpuppies”
Reviewed October 17, 2011

This place was a great find, and we can thank Trip Advisor for it !
The reviews and description of it being a "local Favorite and great food, at a fair price" are all on the Mark. The Service & wait staff were very friendly and accomadating. We had the same waiter both nights, as the Tuna Chili brought us back a second time during the 7 day vacation.
I Had The Tuna chili, on the first night, and my group all had a taste, and we called and came back two nights later so everyone could have the Tuna chili, it is that goodl.
All the dishes that our party of four had on both nights were both satisfying and plentyful.
I would imagine during the summer season, this place is packed... because it was pretty busy while we were there in mid-october. (no Wait for a table...at 6pm, on a saturday nite)
Long story short... Bimini's Atmosphere is wonderful, & they even have live entertainment , although we did'nt stay for that..
The only detractor..of this review would be that the seating is on picnic table's both inside and out and plastic chairs... but that is not a big deal...

“Not the best!”
Reviewed October 17, 2011

We were told this is where the locals eat. The oyster were gritty. The service bad. The food seemed the be premade. I know the coconut shrimp were. The crab cakes were were just ok. If this is were the locals eat.....that does not say anything about the locals. If you are a wine drinker you will not not want the eat here. They only have house wines. Not good!!

“Bimini's is where the locals go!”
Reviewed October 16, 2011

On our vacation this year, I choose places to eat where the local residence eat. I checked TripAdivisor for reviews and this place was awesome!
We arrived around 7 pm and the place was packed with a wait of 30 minutes. We went to the bar to wait, ordered a drink and an appetizer; the host came to seat us. We just stayed at the bar, hung out with the locals, and had a great meal and friendly conversation!
The snow crab legs were fresh, meaty and reasonably priced. The oysters were done to perfection and definitely try the tempura shrimp!
If you want a tourist type place this isn’t it. This is a local bar and restaurant. Oh and those who come from major cities where smoking in restaurants and bars is banned, no so here.

“Local Hangout - Good Food, Fun Atmosphere”
Reviewed October 13, 2011

We have been vacationing in Myrtle Beach for the past 20 years and we always make Bimini’s one of our restaurant stops. The seafood is always fresh…the portions have varied at times but still a full meal. The place can be a little noisy especially on a weekend but that is something you should expect from this type of restaurant. We always enjoy the nights when they have someone playing, usually Jimmy Buffet style music. We like the very casual atmosphere, it just seems to fit a beach vacation. The prices have gotten a little higher than I would expect for this type of restaurant but still within the reasonable range for fresh seafood.

Always a fun stop on our Myrtle Beach vacation.
