My family, myself, my husband and our 4 children, stayed here for 3 nights.
We had 3 rooms, and all of the rooms were very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. We asked for a late check out for one room and they were nice enough to let us have it. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive to the North Myrtle Beach beach area. It is not adjacent to Barefoot Landing, it is within walking distance, but the road is very busy, and I wouldn't want to walk on it. It is about 1/4 mile form Barefoot Landing. The only way this hotel would be nicer is if it were on the beach.

Great hotel. Set back from road so it's not noisy. Big, clean rooms with desk, love seat and coffee table. Some rooms have a balcony. Small indoor pool with outside sunning deck and gazebo. Near Barefoot Landing shopping and Tangier Outlet Mall. It's about 20 minutes north after entering Myrtle Beach. Not near the beach if that's what you want. Felt very comfortable here. Recommended.

Hubby booked us a package deal with Hooters Air and the Marriott-Barefoot landing. Overall it was average. Service ranked from less than pleasant or helpful to good. Room was clean but items that were worn out were not replaced.

We had to hold the handle down on the toilet to get it to flush then it was extremely loud. We could hear the neighbors water running very clearly. Foot stool that matched the chair was completely worn out and the top was one big dent.

We drank the regular coffee the first morning and it was not replaced for the next morning. Neither was the coffee pot rinsed out. Soap and shampoo of very poor quality and even though our shampoo was empty we did not get a new one the second day.

Not bad and for the price of the deal we would probably go again but wouldn't jump at booking this hotel on it's own.

Stayed from August 7-11th. Called for directions, not one person at the place knew how to get there, had us driving around in circles for 2 hours. When I asked to speak with a manager I was called the "B" word and hung up on. I called back and I informed the front desk people that they could go to the Marriott website and look it up or mapquest/blast etc...that was too much trouble. (I had directions when I left but lost the directions on the way) When we arrived the reception was frosty. Okay so time to make the best of it, we were finally at the beach. Get to the room and it smells moldy, shower was dirty and the tp roll was hanging off the wall by a thread. Did not spend much time there after that but heard other guests complain about lack of waterpressure and no alarm clocks etc...but I digress. Onto check out...I frequent Marriott Courtyard when I travel and am a rewards member. Not once have I carried my card, upon checkout I wanted to ensure I got my points for the stay. The same rude young lady from the phone said that she could not help me if I did not have my card in hand. I told her that no other Marriott hotel had ever had a problem. I told her to not waste her time, that I was going to send a letter to corperate headquarters. When I asked for her name she got the manager, he could not ofer anything other than an "I am sorry"
I will stay Marriott Courtyard again, just not this one.

My wife and I had our first holiday in the US in July this year and wish to thank most sincerely all the staff at the Marriott for making our stay a very pleasurable one. We found the hotel clean and very quiet, considering it was just off Highway 17, and as a base for playing golf nice and central. Once again thanks to the Marriott and its staff and we hope to see you again shortly.

This was a nice hotel. Great location. My only complaint is that is was not very clean. We had to keep our socks on because the floors were sticky and our white socks turned black!
