We stayed here for a week last September and found the accommodations to be of a level that we have come to expect from Starwood Properties. The kitchen had all that we needed to cook most of our meals. Although we would have preferred being right on the beach, the drive to the neighborhood beach was easy and close. Myrtle Beach has public beach accesses with free parking in neighborhoods every 2 - 3 blocks. We also enjoyed day trips to two beach state parks. Being from Texas, we were impressed with the pristine South Carolina beaches, free of litter. Late September is a perfect time to visit with less crowds and cooler temperatures. We would avoid the Time-Share "Breakfast" which ended up taking one entire morning.

We went there in late May 2008 and the bed was so hard that I had to ask for a rollaway, just so I could get some sleep. There were cockroaches in the unit which was verified by the Assistant. Manager. He said that they were so close to the beach that they couldn't help but have "plantation bugs." Some of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty on arrival, we had only one soap in the whole unit, the walls were like paper, there was no rack in the oven, there was no ice in the refrigerator, and it was difficult to get into and out of the shower because it was so high, compared to the floor. There was not enough light in the bedroom, the place smelled awful, and we did not receive the correct number of towels at midweek. Only one computer was working in the lobby and there were not enough inner tubes for the pool and lazy river.

My family and I vistited this property in the summer. At that time it was great! The employees were friendly and helpful...BOY HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED. The staff was not friendly or helpful this time and when we attempted to report some problems to staff, they we sincerely apathetic. We will not be visiting this property again and we are taking our family and friends with us.

We stayed at the Sheraton Broadway Plantation over Thanksgiving weekend, and was pleasantly surprised. I always stay in oceanfront, and this facility is approx. 1 mile from the beach, but it was fine....

We had a 2 bedroom suite with a jacuzzi tub, big, comfortable rooms. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the best I've ever slept in. Shower and bathroom were very nice, as was the kitchen area. Loved the kitchen, with dishwasher and garbage disposal. The room was nicely furnished, with a few exceptions.

The pool area was great, and hope to return in-season when it's not as cold. We enjoyed the indoor pool, and the pool was heated, still a bit chilly, but nice, and clean. The pool complex itself was absolutely phenomenal, several children's pools, hot tubs, and the lazy river. The resort provided very nice pool towels as well.

There were two pool tables, a ping pong table, indoor pool volleyball, shuffleboard, tennis courts, and a great 9 hole miniature golf course - this was perfect !! The activities were great, room was quiet, and a very nice place.

The view from the balcony was nice, overlooking a small pond, with a fountain, and there were hammocks available nearby, and an outdoor grill. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to visit yearly with our timeshare. The staff was very nice, and we definitely recommend the Broadway Plantation !!

Only things I would change about the room/facility :

Warmer pools, especially outdoor... they were very nice and clean, maybe a little deeper... all 3' 1/2" deep...

Updated /new pool sticks for tables...

Otherwise, great stay, great staff, and will return !

Myself and two friends were guests of another friend with a timeshare excahange at this hotel. The four of us enjoyed the area shopping, entertainment, and restaurants only to come back each day to extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable accomodations. Several evenings we took advantage of a very well equiped kitchen and barbeque grill while cooking steaks and hamburgers. Loved that coffee pot in the morning! There were a few minor not so user friendly things such as light switches for the lamps in the master bedroom and difficulty locking the patio door(finally found a pin in the bottom of the door-that feature should be explained in the hotel directory). Also, there was a leak from the shower above in the master bedroom shower(it was addressed in questionaire submitted at checkout and hopefully will be fixed). The grounds with the pond and fountain are very picturesque and relaxing. A very good location for everything in Myrtle Beach. This is definately a five star resort!
