Listen up, folks. For lunch, True BBQ has set up a buffet: chicken (fried and bbq'd), pulled pork, beans (two ways), potato salad, macaroni salad, greens, rolls, pie, beverage.
Sound good? Good? It was great. And all for - drum roll, please - just under ten dollars.
If you like bbq, it just doesn't get much better than that.
Many homemade sauces are available including a Carolina Gold. Really good. I tried the Gold and the Sweet on my pulled pork. And the bbq'd chicken was about as good as I've ever had.
The restaurant is beautiful, about as far away from the hole in the wall bbq joint as you can get. Aside from the regular menu, additional items are available. Brunswick stew was available today along with a chili and, as described, looked great. I plan to return tomorrow to try it.
Give the place a try. See where others have described the BBQ as "great" and "the best?" Now you can have all you can eat for less than it would cost you to purchase a regular platter. Get there while the gettings good.
