The atmosphere was just amazing! Staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Food was perfectly presented and tasted SOOOOO YUMMY!! This place is really kid friendly, I have 4 kids under 10 and the food/music was really fun for them. We will be Tavern regulars.

“Amazing...new fav on the inlet”
Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

After making it to 2 restaurants only to discover a 1 1/2 hour wait, my wife spotted this place---we walked right in and discovered a very clean and tastefully decorated restaurant. We were fortunate enough to have Sam as our waitress and she did amazing. She knew the menu inside and out, made appropriate recommendations, and was extremely attentive. She informed me the restaurant had only been open for 3 weeks, but I noticed no sign of disorganization or opening jitters. I've eaten all up and down Murrell's Inlet, and aside from our multigenerational family establishment, this will be our other go to on the inlet. I wouldn't assume the quick seating will last for long after word gets out about the caliber of food they serve at this establishment. Dinner was perfect, they serve a full dinner menu ranging from surf, to turf, to burger and sandwiches from their lunch menu which is served all day long. Prices are reasonable, maybe even a little less than some places in the area. They have a full bar, and available seating outside at ground level and on the third floor; neither of which we were able to take advantage of due to the weather. Overall I say give it a go....unless your adamant about waiting for hours at another abode; serving the same overly deep fried shrimp as everyone else.

“Great NEW Restaurant at Murrells Inlet”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Across street from the Marina and Dead Dog but wonderful rooftop dinning where you can see the inlet. Great food (try their chicken dish), good service and super prices. Lots of unique items on the menu not found in rest of the restaurants. Kids menu and very kid friendly to sit outside. Good parking as well.

“Fresh and Friendly”
Reviewed July 26, 2013 via mobile

We were greeted with friendly an engaging staff that assured us that we would enjoy our first time at The Crooked Floor. The place is clean and organized. Fresh bread was great. The dough is from a local bakery and they bake it at the restaurant. Very good. The crab artichoke dip had just the right amount of crab. Wonderful balance. My 10oz ribeye was cooked as ordered and flavorful. Juiliened veges were fresh and al dente. The fingerling potatoes were just short of perfect but I ate all of them. We ate inside but next time will try the second story deck. The lower outdoor seating is right on the road and really didn't appeal to us personally. I'll go back. Oh yeah, the Margaritas were great!

“Bar with a view. From a third-floor perch you see everything!”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

New owner (Mike Foster), new name, but a location that has seen may previous restaurants. The upgrade in structure is a raised covered bar with the typical bar seating and tables for four. Cool breeze, great view overlooking restaurant row and the marina and marsh and inlet in the distance.

Singular drawback is the smoking. More ash-trays than chairs is always a bad sign in a restaurant. No-smoking inside and downstairs, but the very cool overlook bar some 40 fee up allows smoking which when the breeze is blowing the wrong way can detract from your meal.

Food: We ordered the Crab Cakes appetizer and you get two very healthy and plump cakes full of crab and low on filler. Very good... with a nice remoulade sauce on top. The Saltimbocca is enough to satisfy two adults and the Stwfield salad w/ steak is a health filling salad.

Value: meal for 3 w/ just water as beverage came to just under $40.

Service: Very nice hostess and our bar-tender and waitress(s) were really friendly and attentive. As we left it was starting to get a bit busy up there. The waitstaff sure earn their tips with multiple trips up and down the stairs.

SaleebScore: 8/10 [ that would make it a 8.5/10 for a bar ]
