We always stop here a few times during our South Carolina visits. The marsh views from the window tables are wonderful. And the food and service are great as well. Shrimp (fried or sauteed) are generally our choices. The coleslaw is very good- finely chopped and tangy. The portions are generous- I took home half of my shrimp and fries and had a very tasty lunch the next day.

Large marsh side restaurant in Murrella Inlet. Service was good, but the food was so so. Broiled flounder , not much taste. Fried fish heavy. Lots of people. Good views of the marsh. Price- not cheap.

I went with a friend on Saturday night. She enjoyed the Oysters but I ordered a steak, baked potato and salad. Honestly, I have had better. I think their specialty is seafood, and the steaks are lacking. Restaurant could use a little updating, but for the most part, it was a good experience. I can't complain, just not a seafood kinda person.

We have now been to Nance's twice in the last couple of trips, and find it a good authentic experience for northerners.A contractor we used at our house who is from the area took us here the first time and we liked it enough to come back. After a marsh walk we drove to Nance's at about 5:50 pm as it was beginning to fill on a friday night. The place is old, built in the 60's and very basic but the service has been top drawer and the food both times was fresh, hot and delicious.By 6:10 they were on a wait but the tables were emptied and turned quickly. They are good views of the Inlet from many windows. There is a huge parking lot and was filling as we left.
The room is huge and very busy but the staff is experienced and organized.
We had a beer, fried grouper platter, manhattan clam chowder, salad, fresh oysters on the half shell, a glass of california pinot noir and the bill was $42.00 before tip ( no 18 % gratuity added here until 6 people ) Will come again.
