“Weekend Beach Trip”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We have visited Drunken Jack's Restaurant several times and never been disappointed. It does take about 2 hours though from the time you get there to the time you get the bill; there's always a wait. But the food is always good and we always enjoy our time and meal at Drunken Jack's.

We visit this place every time we come to MB. They have the best hush puppies ever!! There is always a long wait, but we just sit out back order drinks and enjoy the view. I had the swordfish special and it was amazing!

“Murrells Inlet Tradition”
Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Drunken Jacks has been a part of the Inlet's fine seafood establishment scene for many years. The seafood is excellent and the atmosphere is laid back. Fishing charters dock at Drunken Jacks so you know you're eating fresh. Finish off with their signature black joke pie.

“21 year favorite!”
Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

I've been eating at Drunken Jack's since I was 4 years old. If you love seafood then dinner here is a must! If you are like me and don't like seafood they have a nice selection of land lover food as well. Steaks are wonderful and they have a fresh salad bar too! Hush puppies and honey butter are out of this world! Make sure to arrive early to avoid the long waits!

“Looks cheesy, is cheesy, but it's really good food!”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

We were told by a fair amount of locals that we needed to go to Murrells Inlet to get really good local seafood and Drunken Jack's was mentioned by multiple people. This is a place that you will need at least 2 hours from the wait to getting the bill. We went and sat at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready, and talked to a few locals who were really nice. I also felt like I was in a dive bar since they had popcorn for you to eat while you waited which I loved. They also had a guy playing country and southern rock music which also I love in a bar. The place is right out of the 80's, it doesn't seemed like they have changed a thing since they first opened which is great! You get to hit the salad bar with any entree you order, which it's a standard salad bar, no complaints. The high puppies and honey butter they give you when you sit down are pretty darn good. The lady had the shore dinner which is pretty much the sampler plate and is worth the price. You get a bowl of she-crab soup which is wonderful, along with a 5 oz. lobster tail, boiled oysters, boiled shrimp, stuffed crab, flounder fillet, and a side of rice. Everything on that plate was really good except for the flounder and rice, the flounder was over cooked and the rice was undercooked. I had Neptunes Plate which was 6 oz of beef tenderloin cooked to perfection, topped with scallops, shrimp, in a lobster sauce. Oh how supple that was, the only draw back was the rice which was undercooked and the seasoned veggies were ok. This place is just really cheesy, a little bit on the pricey side, but it's worth the drive and the price.
