We took advantage of the $25 all you can eat crab legs and shrimp dinner. These are awesome crab legs. They actually fill you up! Great flavor. Prepare to wait for a table. Not alot of tourists mostly locals eat here. Not on Restaurant Row off of Hwy 707. Worth the drive!

“The service was a disgrace!”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

My husband and I went for dinner on Saturday night. We had read good reviews online and thought it was worth trying.

The waitress didn't bother introducing herself, so we had no idea of her name. Twenty minutes after we ordered, we were still waiting. No one had bothered bringing bread ... or anything that may have taken our minds off how long we were kept waiting.

I ordered a glass of wine, and my husband a beer. I also asked for a glass of water. The waitress brought our drinks, but no water. Every time she walked back to the kitchen, I thought she was going to get the water. Wrong. I had to ask for it again.

After 25 minutes, the waitress came over and told us that the Manager asked her to let us know that there had been a problem with the kitchen printer, and our order had not printed out. The manager said she would discount our meals.

After another 10 minutes, our meals came. The food was good, but no better than we could have had at a zillion other restaurants.

When the bill came, the manager had taken $2.00 off each meal.

It wasn't about a lousy $4.00 discount. I grew up in the 5 star hotel industry, and that manager should be fired. For starters, if there is an issue in the kitchen, how dare the manager not come and explain to us herself. My god, she sent the waitress. What type of manager is she!

And if there was an issue in the kitchen, why weren't we automatically brought something ... even a slice of bread. By the time we got our meals, we had been waiting almost 40 minutes.

I don't know who owns this restaurant, but the manager was unprofessional, and should be trained in CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We will NEVER go back.

The manager should be ashamed of herself.

NEVER AGAIN.

Food is always what you expect, great deals on early bird and nightly specials. Fish is fresh, great hushpuppies.

“Great local casual restaurant”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

I decided to try Driftwoods after a good review from myrtlebeachrestaurantnews.com and i was impressed. They have great prices (not the norm for myrtle beach when it comes to seafood) and very good sized portions. The restaurant was extremely clean, nicely decorated, and had many daily specials. The wait staff was very friendly and even though im a sucker for a water view, this will be my new go to seafood spot

“good food experience”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Recently took a family member to dinner, our meals were very good, however the waitress did not tell us they had a special available: all the crab & shrimp you can eat with two sides-- he was truly disappointed as crab is his favorite. the servers need to be consistent in their info.
