You must try the Seafood Platter brolied - but have the oysters fried.. Russell's fried oysters are the best - you will come back for more. Come early to enjoy a drink in the bar with Sue! Locals know what's best!

The food was great! I had soft shell crab and husband had fried oysters. Loved the hush puppies! The owner took it e to come around and talk to people, finding out more about them, and thanking them for coming in. a couple near our table were celebrating their anniversary, and he comped them a dessert.

My husband and I love Pawley's Island, the Litchfield area and are fortunate to know a wonderful woman who owns in Deboradeau and has been a wonderful host for many years. My husband found Russell's years ago and returned to enjoy the catch of the day whenever he was in the area. We married in 2008 and have enjoyed many meals at this wonderful, tree house on the side of rt 17. The She Crab soup is to die for.....yummy! The owner looks a lot like Chuck Norris, no kidding.

Normally when vis citing the Myrtle Beach area we normally drive north to Calabash for one night of great seafood. However, on this trip we stayed on the southern end of The Grand Strand so decided to visit Russell's. It's rated #1 in Murrells Inlet, "The Seafood Capital of SC". Service was great, portions were large, food below par. Bland, unseasoned, dissapointing.
