Very simply, Brookgreen was a wonderland.
A very LARGE wonderland, which you should take into account when planning your visit. Since the pass is good for 7 consecutive days, we returned the second day to see all that we missed the first day. Loved the creek tour--so relaxing and informative. Didn't hurt that we saw a few alligators, too!

The art is amazing--something wonderful around every turn--and it just keeps going and going. We went in September and the gardens were absolutely gorgeous.

Shuttles between the three major parts (Sculpture, Low Country Center, Zoo) proved very helpful when needed, but we enjoyed the trails, too. We had a lovely lunch in the dining room, which was also a nice respite from the heat. Loved the awesome aviary!

Hated to leave, can't wait to go back.

“Something you can expierence nowhere else. Great for Young and Old”

We recently went to Brookgreen Gardens on our trip to Myrtle Beach. This is our 3rd straight year of Visiting Brookgreen. We have a young child and were excited to see the new BUTTERFLY exhibit. They take you into a enclosed exhibit where there are beautiful flowers,a small creek, and small trees with Thousands of Butterflies. I don't care who you are it is impressive and awesome to see.

There is also the main attraction. BrookGreen Gardens. You can see hundreds of pieces of art and sculptures and you can literally feel like your in greece one moment to italy the next. If you appreciate art, outdoors, wildlife(also a zoo),and beauty..PLEASEEE VISIT THIS PLACE.

“Wonderful experience! Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2011

My husband and I visited Myrtle Beach for a quick weekend getaway in March and finally, after all these years of living in SC, went to Brookgreen Gardens. It was a super excellent experience - very enjoyable time of year to visit an outdoor garden, the sculpture was fabulous and the flowers and landscaping beautiful, even at that time of year. We will definitely return - one could literally spend days looking at each fine piece of sculpture and simply enjoying the beautiful grounds. This is a treat not to be missed on your next visit to the Myrtle Beach area. Well worth the price of the ticket (discount cards available around town and at the Atalya site) and more than worth the time!

“Very enjoyable!”

It is a nice alternative to the beach. The tickets are good for 7 consecutive days, so you don't have to do the whole park in one day if you are short on time. Nice sculpture exibition. Our kids really enjoyed the discovery center and the arts and crafts there. Beautiful gardens, very scenic live oak alley. Enjoy!

Marvelous guide at the zoo! And the rest of the staff also appreciated. The gardens and sculptures were wonderful. The food at the Cafe was good and the gift store was nice.
