My wife and I stayed here for a 3-day weekend. It was our base for exploring Charleston and the beaches just south of the city.
It was easily accessed off the Ravenal Bridge. Each morning my dog and I enjoyed the easy walk from the hotel down to the park underneath the bridge. There were also plenty of restaurants within walking/short drive distance of the hotel.
The room was pretty basic, no frills. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very thin, with basically no difference between the ones labeled “soft” and “firm.” The sink area was very nice, almost looking newly redone, but the bathtub definitely didn’t feel as new/pristine. The water pressure was also extremely high out of the shower, like a human power washer. I’m not saying that was a bad thing, just a note to be prepared.
We had one couple next door to us that had quite the argument one morning that could be clearly heard through the walls, but you can’t pick your neighbors at any hotel.
I did wish the curtains on the windows pulled a little more closed than they did. Even pulled as far as we could get them to, there was still a sliver where someone could see in pretty clearly if they were walking by.
If you are looking for a no frills, basic stay to explore Charleston, this hotel will do the trick.More
