We enjoyed a hot dog dinner our last night in the area. Such a cute place, with lots of nostagia. The girls who took our order were friendly and prompt. Lots of topping choices, but the hot dog inside could have been a little tastier. They need better quality hot dogs. The fries, however, are delicious and hand cut. Awesome fries!
We also had the root beer. Yummm!

If you have kids, are a kid at heart, love robots, or just love hot dogs, don't miss this place. Dogs are great and the staff is friendly. Have a dog gone good time at Jake's!

Yes, this place has been feaured on Food Network (as the rocket out front attests), but in my opinion, the food really wasn't that great. It's pretty nostalgic inside with all of the old toys, some video games and the soda fountains. Many things that haven't been seen in years...they even had Tang!

The novelty kind of wears off a bit though once you get the food. We had a group of 10, so we all got different things so we could try several menu items. The dogs and brats didn't really have much flavor and some of the orders they just plain got wrong. The fries were rather soggy too.

Feel free to try it and forge your own opinion, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again.

Cosmic Dog mobile is a fun concept, however dogs have very little flavor and sweet potato mustard was far too sweet for my tastes...Need to offer more spicy options.

Jack's has been around a long time. This is adventure eating at its finest. That is one of the things that makes it a check the box as having done at least once. Spouse is not a hot dog fan but she was a good sport.

The 3 boys and I all enjoyed out dogs. Everyone loved their fries. Had never had a "thinner" style of fries deep fried in peanut oil. We are fans of the the more standard size fry cooked in the peanut oil such as the ones at a Five Guys, but again, these thinner ones were tremendous. These were about the best fries that we had every had. They were hot to the touch (they way a good fry should be). The dogs are fine. The toppings make or break your experience. To me that is true with any hot dog.No the actually did not have a tremendous taste say like a Hebrew National dog but, once again the topping choices enabled you to get a good sandwich.

The place was fairly busy on this particular Sunday afternoon. To me that gave us a better chance of our food being hot and it was. It only took about 8 minutes to get our order. Again, the only disappointed one in our group was the wife who said her chicken sandwich wasn't anything special.

Fun place to visit and let your hair down. Only thing that kept them from an excellent was a better taste to the actual hotdog meat.

Our family ate for $28. A bargain in our book for such a fun and tasty meal.
