Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews we chose Long Point Grill. Did a drive by and menu check on our way to the hotel. The menu looked great--don't be fooled by the nearby cargo ship facilities. We came back later for dinner based on the menu and were delighted with our choice. The service, the food, the casual atmosphere, and people having fun was perfect for us. Kyle the manager was particularly attentive. He had given us the menus earlier in the day and welcomed us back to have dinner. Did not have room for the fabulous looking desserts. Will have to go back. I had the crabmeat stuffed trout with lobster and shrimp succotash. My husband had the seared scallops "BLT". Both were wonderful. Portions are large!

Went to the Long Point Grill for lunch and I couldn't have been more impressed. All the employees were friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The selection and quality off food was outstanding. The shrimp and grits were some of the best I've had in the South. Leave room for dessert, it's well worth it.

This restarant is a little off the beaten path, but when we drove up to the parking lot, it was packed, so we knew it must be good. It was much better than good. They start you off with some homebaked bread and some olive oil to dip it in. Yum! Our entree was delicious and the service was quick. It is small and it can be noisy, but it is tastefully decorated and you can watch the cooks in action. If you want to sample some local cuisine, I would highly recommend it.

Very happy that we tried LPG on our current trip! Our decision to go was based on the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Low Country Pimento Cheese Fritters were excellent, and very unique. My husband had the crab cakes w/ whipped sweet potatoes and asparagus and was very impressed w/ the crab cakes. I had the Charleston "Cuban" sandwich and found it to be delicious with lots of flavor and generous portions. We ordered a piece of chocolate cake and hummingbird cake to go, and while the chocolate cake awaits me, my husband devoured the hummingbird cake in a matter of minutes upon returning to the condo. The wait staff was very attentive, and the atmosphere was casual. We were fortunate to be seated right away, but the place was packed and a wait formed at times. Overall, we were both very pleased with the experience and look forward to returning.

Went to LPG based on trip advisor comments and we weren't disappointed. You can't go wrong with their 1/2 price wine bottle special!! Their special soup was a tomato based broth with tortellini, roasted chicken and italian sausage and it was great. Entees were the Southwestern ravioli with scallops and shrimp and the Scallops with bacon, spinach, and mashed potatoes. Scallops in both dishes were excellent - the best we have had in awhile. The shrimp was also good - just not enough of them!! It's easy to overcook shrimp and they didn't even come close - very tender.

The only complaint is a repeat of what's been said. They don't have much sound absorption decor so it can get a little loud and the ambiance could be improved as well.

With food, prices and service like they have, it's still a great place to go. This was our fist visit, but it won't be our last when we're back in the area.

Their phone number is [--]. Trip Advisor has the wrong one listed.
