My husband and I came to stay in Mt. Pleasant to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. The area around the inn is delightful! It's part if the old village and is very walkable, safe , and beautiful. The inn itself fits right in since it's a building that dates back to the 1800s. We stayed in the Pitt st. Suite which is on the 3rd floor. When we first arrived we were a little annoyed because the room was super hot and we found a stained washcloth. We told Noah the restaurant manager, who was super helpful. He resolved the problem and brought us complimentary champagne up to our room, together with fresh washcloths :) The room and bed itself was very comfortable and very private. This room also has a hot tub, even though it isn't new works fine and fits 2 people comfortably. The distance from Charleston was great because we could get away from all the tourist craziness when we wanted but be back in town in 10minutes. Breakfast was served downstairs in the restaurant and was usually pastries, yogurt, great coffee, an assortment of cereal and some very yummy ham and cheese. Overall a very pleasant stay in a great location.
