“Superb dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2014 via mobile

While visiting Charleston, I wanted to take my son out for fine dining. I had been to Langdon's years ago and had very much enjoyed the experience so decided to return. I was not disappointed. The service and food were both outstanding. The wine selection by the glass was very good and worked well as an option for my visit. I had the swordfish and my son had the rack of lamb. Both were excellent. With starters, entree, wine and dessert, while pricey, was worth it. And all around great visit.

“Perfect Place for date nights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

This is by far the best restaurant in town. We have eaten at many of the fine dining places in town, and consistently for the last 10 years, Langdon 's has never disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left- Langdon's staff treats you better than family. The food is always amazing and service is always fantastic. So thanks again- Pat, Matt, Jeff, Tim and everyone else who makes Langdon 's the place it is and has remained!

“Always a sure thing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

This is my go-to restaurant in Charleston/Mount Pleasant. The drinks are always perfectly prepared, the meals consistently delicious. Service is attentive without being fawning. I often get the salmon, but it is also the place to go for a great steak. Langdon's never disappoints.

“Can see the Wine Spectator and 4-Diamond ratings come out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2014

You can certainly see the Wine Spectator Award shine through here. While not a big place, it is intimate and there are several tables to be selected for an intimate dining experience. We had waiter "Frank" who did a fine job navigating us through the menu and paring up a nice white wine (Camel Road Chard) w/ my Orange-Soy Grilled Salmon with Crisp Cucumber Salad and Aromatic Rice.

My spouse had the Seared Diver Scallops with Sweet Corn Cream and Basil Oil for her entree, but it turns out too small even for a light appetite. She felt the presentation out-balanced the quantity and flavor for the price ($12). We feel a small plate or first course should be enough food for an entree-seeker w/ a small appetite (when paired with a salad, it should satisfy) if that criteria cannot be met... then drop the price under $10 to take the guesswork out of it. We both had salads, the Baby Arugula with Goat Cheese, Caramelized Bosc Pears won out. Overall not to bad w/ one 8oz ($13) glass of wine came to $90.

Service was very good and Frank had two assistant servers, SaleebScore: Food: 9/10, Service:9.5/10, Ambiance: 9/10.

“Not all that ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014 via mobile

We went to Langdon's during restaurant week. The cocktails were good, wine was nice. Unfortunately, as always seems to happen when we go there, the food was disappointing. The service was incredibly slow, despite the fact that they were not busy, and we had an infuriatingly condescending server. Add to all this the fact that it's overpriced for what you get - I'd have trouble recommending it for anything more than happy hour.
