“Restaurant Week dinners were less than we expected”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

We visited during Restaurant Week, so the things we ordered may not be on their regular menu.

For appetizers, we had the She Crab Soup, and Grilled Quail. Both were delicious. The quail was really something different for an appetizer.

Both of us had the Roasted Local Fish for an entre, The day we were there it was swordfish. I honestly thought the portion was quite small - 4 oz, perhaps? (When dining during Restaurant Week, you can never tell if they've made portions smaller to compensate for the reduced cost, or if the portions are of normal size.) I thought it was quite dry. Swordfish tends to be dry, but if my memory serves me right I've had moist presentations at other restaurants. The swordfish sat on top of a brussel sprout, carrot, and ham combination which I absolutely loved. I would have much rather had a plateful of that than the swordfish.

For dessert I had key lime pie which was really good. My wife had a berry mousse. The berries on top were tart as expected, but the mousse was fairly tasteless.

The view was spectactular.

We took a look at the regular menu, and given the sky-high prices, I don't expect we'll return.

“Good food,beautiful view, great service!”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

The staff was very friendly greeting and sitting us. Taking care to seat us with a great view. Our server Patrick was very knowledgable about the menu and helped us pick our selections. We had the crab dip, full of crab and served with very fresh, warm pita bread. Also we received complimentary warm pretzel sticks with whole grain mustard, very good and a nice surprise. We both had the salmon with the siracha sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly, with the sauce being very flavorful. The sides of mashed potatoes, grits and zucchini were well prepared and rounded out the dish. We would have liked to try dessert but had to decline as we were too full. All in all a nice ding experience with good food and a friendly helpful staff.

“Scenic view but pricey.”
Reviewed January 7, 2014 via mobile

Upscale restaurant, so if cost is not a concern, a nice place to visit. We ate lunch there - very limited menu. It does have a great view of the harbor - hush puppy's are not included with your meal. Extra $5 for 5-6 of them. They were good, but not worth $1 each. Anyway, the fried oysters were ok - hubby's burger was good. Worth one visit just for the view.

“Not Impressed”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

The choice for dining out on Christmas is limited. You would think the restaurants that choose to be open would try to make this a memorable evening. We didn't get that impression at all. To the servers, this was any other night. Our food was good. I had higher expectations for the price we paid. Is it possible to get crackers, hush puppies or bread with your soup? How about refills on water and tea? The restaurant is noisy. Not going back.
