This was our second time on the trolley. (also last July 2012). Needless to say the prices have increased.....$20 per person. It picked us up at Wild Dunes at 12:35. We wanted to go to downtown Charleston. Well...2 hours later, we got there. As we were exiting the trolley, we paid $20 per couple for the ride. A few hours later when they picked us up to take us back to Wild Dunes, we were notified that we owed anothe $20 per couple. Needless to say, the ride back was tense and we passengers were more than angry. We were the only 4 people on it if that tells you anything. It still took us over an hour to get back to Wild Dunes. The sad thing is that we were repeat customers and no alliance was offered for that. They still ripped us off!! A taxi ride from our resort would have been $30 cheaper and quicker. We actully inquired with a taxi driver to confirm this. Dont waste your money on this.....the owners have skillfully figured out how to charge way too much for what you get. You dont even realize it until you are back at your hotel. Shame on Low Country for their shady business practices!!!!!!!

We had done the the downtown tours of Charleston but we wanted to expand the tour. What a great experience it was to ride with Derrick! He was so informative, accommodating and personal. I had passed along brochures to others before I left the terminal. Keep up the good work Derrick

Derrick was our tour guide/driver. He was friendly, fun and took a personal interest in his passengers. He went out of his way to give us a informative tour and also accommodated everyone's needs. He gave good advice on what to see and do at each stop. We would highly recommend this tour.

My sister and I signed up for this tour. Unfortunately, it is the best kept secret in Charleston and that is a shame as we had a great time. Derrick [I hope it is Derrick] was our tour guide and he could not have been more informative. [have been home for a week & just had a chance to write] He gave us a great deal of fun and informative information and the tour was different than most tours offered while visiting Charleston. Highly recommend! We had trouble connecting due to Concierge not being well informed, but Teri at the office was phenomenal and all ended well. Be sure to give this a try if you are in Charleston.
There were two of us.. sisters & friends DB

we stayed in isle of palms and asked to be picked up at coconut joe's. "be there at 9:45" we were told. at 9:30, the trolley was there, driven by the owner. high winds nearly blew him off the bridge and he told us that for our safety, the tours that day were closed.
so, instead, he gave us a personal tour of the land north of the bridge, pointing out landmarks and historical places we might want to visit on our own, and genuinely made us feel special even though we didn't get into Charleston on the trolley.
the best thing was, even though we bought our tickets online, WE GOT A FULL REFUND! even with our small tour.
a good, modern, owner-operated business. definitely worth going back for.
