“delicious thin crust pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

This is a great pizza spot in Mt. P. I was impressed! The large ceasar salad was large enough to split between three of us. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, and dressing was delicious. The three of us also split a large pizza with fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic. The garlic really gave it a delicious flavor. I was surprised to find they use fresh mozzarella...this made the pizza extra delish. The crust was thin and crispy. The totatoes weren't the most delicious, but they are still out of season I can't really complain about this. If you're shopping in town centre, or on your way to a hotel in the area, stop by and grab a pie.

“Burnt pizza crackers served here-service no better”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

I get it. This ain't your Mama's pizza place. This is the newest thing in pizzerias. Brick ovens, coal. Could be great. I'm all about a good bar b que, but if it's that burnt, don't serve it. Crisp is crisp, but black pizza is burnt, not trendy. When the server brought the food, we were shocked. The calzone was burnt on both sides. Almost half was inedible. The pizza was no better. When the server came back to ask how it was, I said it was different. He said ok and walked away. Need I say the service was as bad as the food. We saw the server when he took the order, when he dropped the food and when he asked how we liked it as he dropped off the check! We like to try different places when we travel...places we don't have near our city. But I found we are not missing anything by not having one of these establishments in our city.

“Liked the food, hated the atmosphere..”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

The bar area was almost empty, but the hostess still seated the young couple with the totally unruly, screaming children right next to us. Service was good, salad and pizza excellent, but of course we couldn't enjoy an adult nights out. What ever happened to adults only in the bar area? Will not be back. Leave this one for the kiddies..

“2nd time visit & still not worth it”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

Tried it when it 1st opened & it was lacking in flavor, cheese & sauce (we ordered a cheese). It barely had sauce making it super dry. We tried it again today & told our server about our experience last time & she said it must have been a fluke. We wondered of we should have ordered extra sauce this time & she assured us it wasn't necessary. We ordered a cheese. Still was lacking amount of sauce & although they use fresh slices of mozzarella, it still lacks flavor. Maybe if they used more sauce, it would be tastier. There was a good 2 inches of semi-burnt crust before the sauce even started. We both cut the roof of our mouths on the very hard crust. We ordered a house salad & it was sub par. Very cheap ingredients & again lacking in flavor. We are from NY & this is not how typical NY pizza is made.

“Great pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2012

Seeking a place to eat as we approached our motel in darkness, we spotted Grimaldi's and decided to have pizza. They use a coal fired stone pizza oven, creating a crispy thin crust. Although we are thick crust fans, we found this pizza to be delicious. One thing we found rather unique is that there were no flat screen TVs in the spacious dining room. If you want TV, go to the bar. The noise level in the dining room was low, largely because they create a lot of space between tables. The menu includes salads and calzones. Not franchised, all locations are company owned which should ensure a good meal at any location. The website is www.grimaldispizzeria.com.
