Owner description: Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers more than just your average park. Located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, this park has plenty of lawn for enjoying family picnics, a nautical-themed playground modeled after the bridge that provides shade and the boats that pass by in the harbor, and soft-serve ice cream from the River Watch Cafe. The cafe offers beautiful views of Charleston Harbor and a 1,250-foot-long pier where you can sit and swing a while. Memorial Waterfront Park is also home to the Sweetgrass Cultual Arts Pavilion, War Memorial and Visitor Center.

My 12 year old wanted to go so badly. Glad we stopped before we left town. Great peer to walk on as well.

Beautiful park. Immaculate and lots of space to sit or walk out onto the pier. One of the nicest parks we've been to in a long time. Fantastic view of the Arthur Ravenel bridge at night! So glad we stopped here.

since we have been visiting the Charleston area this park has changed so much. There is a fishing pier/ boardwalk to get closer to the river to enjoy the boat traffic and the occasional dolphin. There is also a convenient place to park to go up onto the pedestrian walkway on the bridge. ( really fun place to view the Charleston skyline at night ). This time when we visited we saw the new playground for children, the perfect place to let your children release some energy after a long drive. highly recommend!!

This was one of the nicest parks that the wife and I have ever been too. There is a couple of stores, a pier to walk on or fish from, and a very nice separate park for the kids where the things are all made to look like dolphins jumping, boats, and all sorts of neat stuff. If in the area it really is worth making a little time to if nothing else just walk thru the park and down the pier for the beautiful view.

This has become one of my favorite attractions in the area. We were recommended to visit as it was close in proximity to our hotel at Patriot's Point, the Quality Inn. We drove past the hotel and found the parking lot for the pier. What an all-inclusive waterfront park and pier! You can fish, visit the cafe, buy souvenirs and unique gifts, as well as fishing equipment. You will find playground equipment, informational fish charts, awesome larger-than-life swings, beautiful outdoor furnishings and landscaping and most importantly the fresh sea air and extraordinary views! I walked on a crisp January morning. It felt great and was an awesome feeling to be so in touch with the beauty of Nature while above and around you there was so much commerce and activity! Please go and enjoy. I can't wait to visit in the summer at sunset. It's also a Visitor Center!
