A few weeks ago I read the local restaurant critic's piece about this restaurant and I'm glad I did. The same things she didn't like - I love! I don't want my dishes simplified. I can do that at home. I love the complexity at Bistro 536. Interesting foods are brought together and it works - and the sauces (underneath or drizzled across the top) are delightful. This chef knows his stuff and presents it beautifully. In his Traditional Bouillabaisse - each type of seafood retains its own fresh flavor. The Grouper entree is a delight and the Portabella Mushroom appetizer is rich, flavorful and generous. The wine special - half price bottles Wednesday + Saturday 5-8PM make it a real deal! This new restaurant will get crowded as others discover it. Join me there now. You'll be glad you did! An unpaid restaurant critic
