Wonderful people and very interesting! The people who perform like they did over 100 years ago were excellent. Food at their own restaurant is alsogreat!

We really enjoyed our day at this plantation. The driveway to the house and its spanish moss was how the deep south "should look" . Beautiful. The houseguide and the slave storyteller were both costumed which added to the atmosphere( suggest this is extended to the reception staff and plantation guides too) and we enjoyed their explanations ( except that as Europeans we have often not heard of the TV shows filmed there which were all mentioned several times but it impresses the more local visitors.) You dont get to see a whole lot of the house as some of it is in private use and this is a pity but what was shown was very nice. The interpretation in the slave cabins was good. We thought the driver on our trip around the plantation fields was superb ( sorry we have forgotten his name but pictured beside his vehicle) a wealth of experience and a charming manner. The cafe and gift shop were suprisingly ordinary. You could have got us to spend more if they had been better! Pity the large horse barns are not in use to any extent. How about horse drawn carriages around the plantation? We would certainly recommend this visit.

This plantation is nice and the price $17 (AAA discount) is more than reasonable. They have a very good row of slave quarters and it gives a representation of the life of a plantation slave. The entrance road with trees leading up to the home is how I pictured a southern plantation would look like. The house tour was nice and the ticket price includes a 30 minute open air bus ride of the surrounding property. A little was taken away from our enjoyment of the property as they host alot of functions and the day of our visit trucks were delivering and workers were setting up porta johns, tents etc for a major event happening in several days.

I have been wanting to go to The BOone Hall Plantation since I saw North & South a few years back. It is a wonderful plantation. The house could be a liitle bit more but the tour around the plantation was good and the tour guide was very good at telling us about the plantation, old and new.
