Drove past this place when we were looking for breakfast before going to the Old Santee Canal State Park. As we passed, I thought "that looks like a local diner" and suggested the Hubby turn around and go back. Situated in front of a somewhat dilapidated hotel, the building and surrounding parking lot are a little bit of a turn off. But, don't let this deter you. We went inside and were politely asked to seat ourselves. A waitress came over immediately to give us a menu and take our drink order. My Husband had a Western omelet, grits and toasts. I had the Strawberry pancakes. The plates are HUGE and they filled them completely. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts. The service, food and coffee were all very good and the prices were very reasonable. We live about 45 miles away but will probably think of reasons to go to Monck's Corner just to eat there.
