I took a group of college students to Wildwater Chattooga and everyone had a blast! We did Section IV and it proved to be the perfect amount of intensity that the group was craving. There are some serious rapids on this section which makes for an awesome trip. Guides are very knowledgeable, cognizant of safety, and make the experience amazing. We stayed at the Group Yurts during the trip - very cozy. For people who may be skittish of legitimate camping, this is a good experience to "commune with nature" while also having comfort amenities (private bathrooms, kitchen access, running water, etc). The staff provided some delicious meals. Definitely partake in the lake kayaking if you want to experience the atmosphere - very peaceful and serene out there. Our guides also took us to a rope swing and 25 foot rock jump which our group loved as well. Very happy with this location and the experience overall, will definitely be going back in the future.
This was a Mother/Son event and who did we have a great time! We did the VIP Zipline Canopy Tour with our guides, Nate & Heather! They were stupendous and made the experience awesome! Now my son, who is 13, wants to work there when he is of age!! He said doing the ziplines and challenge bridges would be worth getting up for every day! A must do on your bucket list! Beautiful mountain views from all 3 States.
This was on our bucket list. We had an awesome day thanks to the extent staff. And a special thanks to Asia, our guide. She made it a day to remember always.
Myself and 3 girlfriends went whitewater rafting at Wildwater in Chattooga as a 10 year high school reunion trip and we can't wait to go back! We stayed on-site in a cottage where a full kitchen is stocked with all cookware. There is a hot shower and it sleeps 4. A grill, fire pit and patio table are all there too. Bring food- there is a General Store that is a 5 minute drive from the cottages, but it is pretty basic (It does have beer and wine). As for rafting- our guides made our trip!! Of course the river is beautiful as well as the surrounding forest, but incredible guides really made the experience unforgettable! We started with a mini trip since 3 of us had never been rafting. Mia and Katie navigated the river flawlessly while keeping us laughing the whole way. The snack is delicious- celery, apples, oranges, hummus, peanut butter, jelly and more. The next day we took the full day trip and Mia was our guide again. It was cold, but they provided wet suits and jackets. The full day was even more exhilarating! More drops, more rapids and a full lunch that had all the snack stuff plus sandwiches- multiple kinds of meat, bread and all the toppings. Mia was amazing again! She is so knowledgeable about the river and the surrounding area, Mia really made us want to go back- and we will!
What an awesome trip!! We had our annual company retreat here, and it was fantastic! Our guides Ben, Amy, Dillon, and Nate were so much fun. They really got us out of our comfort zones, and kept us safe. The grounds are beautiful, and the cabins are gorgeous! They really provide a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be back!
Small rental cottage with nice amenities, guides on river were great, Wifi only at outpost, would have liked a place to eat or small store w/food since it was far from town. Would definitely go back again
