Passing through Landrum, SC and saw several shops and ran accross the busy little place on the corner called the Hare & Hound Pub. It was very busy on this Saturday at 2pm, but we wanted to give it a try. It was a nice atmosphere and we were seated quickley. For you locals Jack Roper the "The Fitter Guy" and friends were having lunch there as well. Music was a bit load and customers were trying to talk over it and at times it got a bit loader. However, the food was really good. We had a grilled chicken salad and mushroom burger and it was a big burger at that. Lucked up and got a window seat which gave us a view of the neighboring shops. The weather was a bit rainy and gloomy, but it was a good experience. Prices were a little bit high, however this is horse territory and so it was expected. We will be back to try other items and maybe kick back when we have more time.

The food was very good service was good...We ate outside where a woman was playing the guitar...Music was wonderful but a bit too loud and the prices were a bit higher than in my opinion they should have been... A very nice place to go once in a while...maybe for a treat or special occasion

Great atmosphere; friendly staff; great food. Recently had their "fish & chips," which although not like typical fish & chips - it was really very good! They are using flounder for the fish, so don't expect the typical 'fish & chips' fish stick that holds together well as finger food - you will need to use your fork. But the taste is great. I commend them for stepping out and using flounder, and I will order it again. The chips are o.k. - nothing done there to put the restaurant over-the-top for french fries, but certainly nothing done to hurt their reputation either.
The outside seating is very nice with good views of the downtown of this picturesque town and the people walking around.
