What a shame decided to revisit this pub after a few disappointments in the past. But new management and thought to give it a try. The food was really good and cooked from fresh although two of the requested items on the menu were not available? Not sure why as they were on the menu and no one else was in the restaurant and a lunchtime! But the whole experience was totally destroyed by loud heavy metal music and the only people in the pub was a man with two young children myself and husband and a family with a very elderly lady, and a young lad at the bar. I think this was the choice of the owner. But he needs to cater for the customer not himself what a shame as he has spent a lot on the decor and making it a good food pub.

Went for lunch on the off chance - what a nice surprise. Nice place a bit above the ordinary. Seating is nice because the tables are not on top on one another. The Staff are very friendly and we received a warm welcome. The food is FAB - not only do they do the pub classics very well they also add more unusual Gastro pub dishes on the specials board. My Husband had a very nice Gammon Ham with hand cut chips and I had a really yummy Pork Chop with Apple mash and mustard sauce. No veg on these dishes but WOW the best Chop I have had in a long while. All food is locally sourced and they are proud to announce the fact - nice touch. Will certainly be eating here again - you must try it...

Visited last night, wonderful food plenty of choice, the chef was even prepared to concoct a different dish other than those on the menu for one of the group who is vegetarian.(that's whats called good service).
The place was very quiet, whether it's the run up to Christmas with people saving up or not I dont know, but the place deserves to do well, it really is a good place to eat.
There are special nights held like steak night and tapas night, and some nights there is entertainment with singers or a DJ.
Will certainly return.

A Friday night meal with friends....the place was empty sadly and could have done with a bit more atmosphere...However good food, decent range of choices on the menu and attentive, pleasant service.

Good value for money. Would go again.
