The Niclaus designed Turtle Point Course at Kiawah Island winds through coastal wetlands and neighborhoods. They boast 3 ocean holes but the 2 mid length par 3's and a short par four are not the highlight of the round and really feel crammed in. They do however signal the start of some tough and dramatic finishing holes.
The course is tight with an abundance of water and out of bounds. The greens complexes are relatively tame however and a golfer who keeps their ball in play can expect to score well.
Durring our morning round we saw an abundance of wildlife from gators to deer as well as a many species of herons and egrets.
The service isn't as over the top as you find at the ocean course but neither is the price.
