We happened upon this restaurant by sheer accident after a long day of tours. We were staying in the historic district of Charleston, but had been out and about all day. Instead of waiting until we got back into town to find dinner, we, being tired and hungry, decided to stop somewhere on our way back. What an amazing meal! We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress, Shawna, was very attentive and helpful in telling us about the menu. Fried green tomatoes were outstanding as an appetizer; the other choices we shared were good too. We all picked a meal from the early-bird menu--two orders of the Acme shrimp and grits and one fried shrimp/flounder platter. Their pimento grits as a side were delicious. Not only were the food and service great, but we also had Kevin, the chef, checking on us often. Hearing we were from MD, he wanted our feedback on his version of a "Maryland crabcake". We tried the one he sent out to us and it was very similar to what we have at home-well seasoned and full of crab (we found NO shell either)!! We were so full, we had to take dessert to go. Hats off to the owners of this establishment for their continued efforts in making this place a success!!! We will definately visit here again if we are ever back in the area!!! Thanks Shawna and Kevin for giving us a perfect end to a great day!
