I would rate with highest possible possible. Every one at resort went over and beyond to make sure our needs were met. I have been trying to visit this property for many years. When we were planning to go to martha vineyard we decided at last minute to visit resort due to weather being perfect in charleston area. Our villa was very modern and luxurious. I love the kitchen as it had very big kitchen island with double oven. Although I went to grocery store to cook at least one meal in the beautiful. It was a beautiful kitchen to look lol! Dining out in the delicious low country restaurants won out every time. BTW please try Char Grill Restuarant across the Intercoastal Highway in shopping center with Bi Lo. Their food is delicious and is farm to table. No antibiotics and everything is freshly prepared and cooked on site (gasp)!!! Hope you get Hayley as your waitress as one of the best servers one can ask for when dining out. Another fabulous restaurant is Magnolia's in Charleston on East Bay Street. Also in the villa in the villa: a beautiful master bedroom with light granite, huge modern shopping, vanity, and double sinks. Again very up to date and luxurious. I will return to Wild Dunes Resort!

We've been coming here since 2009 and it has been consistently clean and well kept. We have stayed in both the Village and Vilas and I definitely recommend the Villages. Now they have the Village Gardens which are less than a year old and have a quiet pool with wading area for little kids that lead into the pool which is nice. The beach is huge and for the most part not too crowded but year after year it has become more crowded probably due to more people hearing about Wild Dunes and how nice it is. The food is really expensive which is why I didn't give it a 5. But with kids, we always get a room with a kitchen and bring our own cooler of food and drinks anyway. Hudson's Market does provide basics if you need it, it's just expensive. Another thing is I wished check in was earlier than 4pm. It should be 2pm so we can enjoy the day a little. Overall a very nice resort if you love cleanliness and having a beach within walking distance and short drive to Charleston.

Our family likes to try different beaches instead of going to the same place every time. This area is so nice and easy to drive to that we'd visit again. We loved the access to the beach and the expansiveness of it as well. The 5 mile bike path was perfect and a beautiful ride. We booked a condo through the resort so we paid the 9% resort fee. Our condo included a pool and our friends included a tennis court so we really didn't need to use the resort. The next time we may just book a condo independently now that we know the area. We ate at The Lettered Olive on the resort and enjoyed the local seafood offerrings.

Excellent stay overall!! Our room in the village was beautiful, up to date, and clean. Parking at the resort was a little complicated. Valet parking is the rule and not the exception. It would have been nice to be able to park your own vehicle in the parking deck instead of parking in a small parking lot a few feet from resort elevators.

We booked an extra long weekend at Wild Dunes to meet up with our daughter (who lives in Charleston). We rented a charming 1 bedroom condo in Port O Call and we were delighted. The view was great - waking up to the ocean and the rising sun was perfect, the furnishings were charming, the pool refreshing and only steps to the surf! The resort is deatil perfect and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. We have decided to stay longer next year! Oh and by the way there is a great selection of accomodations from which to choose from 1 bedroom condos to spectacular homes and a first rate hotel, This resort has it all!

The Sea Island Grill offers mediocre food at best. The customer service is horrible. My husband and I waited over an hour to receive a simple cheese plate appetizer. When we brought the wait time to the manager’s attention he was unapologetic and actually stomped around the lounge area showing his upset in us for bringing the issue to light. We left after being hesitantly refunded $20 for an appetizer still paying over $30 for our two drinks. I have nothing good to say about this restaurant or the manager Casey. They do not understand customer service at all. My husband and I were consistently treated as an inconvenience.

The best vacation spot for families, couples, weddings or family reunions. Beautifully situated property with high end accommodations, pool, beach, spa, sports, and gourmet dining. Best of both worlds if you want to venture into Charleston for some city life.
