This specific complaint is in reference to 16 Horvath's Peninsula of which I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau. First of all, Before we arrived at the property the street sign was on the ground. We should have took that a sign of things to come! This property is falsely advertised as a luxury vacation rental. The inside of this property is atrocious and should not be allowed to be advertised as a luxury vacation home nor should it be rented at all. The flooring is despicable: from the wood flooring in the kitchen, which as visible holes throughout andd the flooring throughout the home is riddled with deep stains. The flooring is so bad in the master bedroom that it caused my wife to have a migraine. We opened the doors to air out the property and it did not alleviate the smell. There was clearly a huge storm leak that damaged the flooring and the ceilings. The flooring in the master suite was the worst I have ever seen. We have never stayed in a property that was neglected as much as this! We took pictures of everything. There is mold in the home due to a leak. There are several dehumidifiers actively running throughout the home and that should have been an omen of what was yet to come! ! There was a bad mildew smell throughout the home and we had to go to the store to purchase candles/freshener. Let me back up a moment to inform you that we contacted the management company as soon as we discovered the indiscrepancies of the home and the person that we spoke with (Shannon) didn't seem to thrilled that we were either contacting her on the weekend and/or contacting her at all to complain of our dissatisfaction with the numerous issues of the home. Also, the comforters/bedding was stained and the towels were dingy. The bedding throughout was very cheap. The bedding was so terrible that we went to a nearby store to purchase new bedding. The management company sent someone out the next afternoon, but all they did was bring towels and change the sheets. Bedding was the least of our issues! I reiterate that this property is falsely advertised as a luxury rental. We demand a full refund! The rug under the dining room table was held down by electric tape! The kitchen sink needs to be replaced/repaired. The bathroom fixtures need to be replaced throughout the home. The rug under the dining room table is held down with clearly visible electric tape. The reservation manager, Ashten Bryan, stated that the property just had a deep cleaning and that they were not issuing a refund, but rather reimburse us for any items that we had to purchase. Also, there is major ceiling damage on the main floor. This property is clearly not closely supervised by a concerned property manager. My wife and I own several rental properties and there is no way that we would have rented them out with all of the aforementioned issues described. Also, there was a banging noise on the roof or somewhere that prevented us from obtaining a good nights rest each night. We have friends/witnesses that we guests in this property and can and will testify to the deplorable living conditions.
