Every year my family (husband, children, parents, sister, nieces & nephews) takes a vacation for Easter. Usually, we vacation at a beach. This year, we chose Hilton Head Island to vacation. A google search revealed this gem! I am so happy that we booked this property. Chris, Sandy, and Becky all worked together to ensure that we enjoyed a pleasant stay before and during our stay.
The beach home is nestled towards the back of the Shipyard Plantation. The lush green vegetation, bike paths, and waterways offer beautiful views. The beach is about a 10 minute walk. From the front door, walk straight ahead until you see the bike path beside the lined fence. Follow the path that will lead you alongside Sonesta and to the beach.
The pool is an even closer walk-about 5 minutes from the front door in the same direction. You will pass it on the way to the beach.
Golfing, tennis, and bike riding are available if you're interested, but we didn't take advantage of any of these.
Sonesta has indoor and outdoor bars. We visited the indoor bar in the lobby one night during our stay.
About the Home:
There are 2 living areas-both with flat screen televisions. The kitchen has everything you need-dishes, grilling utensils, starter kit (dish detergent, Tide, etc.), and pots and pans. The large, wooden dining table was large enough for our daily food spread and for everyone to sit at the table to eat. We enjoyed wonderful meals and laughs at that table! The downstairs restroom leads to the washer and dryer (little awkward that you have to go through the bathroom, but it was not a big deal for us).
The bedrooms each had televisions, bath towels, washcloths, and hand towels. All of the bathrooms had hand soap and hotel style bar soap, shampoo, and conditioner. One of the bedroom had 4 twin size beds (2 bunk beds). The front living area had a pull out sofa. We found additional pillows and blankets in the closet of the bedroom with the king size bed (first room you get to when you walk upstairs).
The gas grill has a propane tank and is ready to go. Contact Luxury Homes Concierge if you have any questions.
We really appreciated the binder on the table that included area attractions with address and phone numbers and information about the property (wifi code, what to do before leaving, etc.). We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and most of the starter supplies lasted (dish detergent, hand soap), but we purchased more trash bags and our own laundry detergent. When we return to Hilton Head, we definitely plan to rebook this property!
We visited the Walgreens and Publix for our grocery and miscellaneous needs. There is a Dairy Queen, Panera Bread, Five Guys, and Papa Johns within 5 minutes. We did drive to Tanger Outlets (about 15-20 minute drive) and Savannah, Georgia also (about an hour drive).
Enjoy a wonderful stay at 196 Beachwalk!!
