“Very nice but somewhat slow place.”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Conveniently located and when we visited for lunch not a very busy place has a slow service but good tasting pizza from the oven. Our fresh mozzarella pizza was decorated with mozzarella brought in a large box from what looked like a freezer . You can build your own pizza or order any of the usual standard varieties. Many TV screens with variety of sport events are simultaneously on. We could see this place probably enjoys a very good atmosphere especially during important games and matches. There is also an outdoor area where you could sit with a drink and watch a game. The service was slow for the circumstances - we were the only customers at the time but the waitress was nice.

“Good pizza but service slow”
Reviewed November 20, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I decided we wanted pizza to take back to the hotel for dinner. We stopped in New York City Pizza to have a quick drink and order carry out. The bartender really pushes for customers to have a drink while waiting. Several customers came in to order or puck up an order that was not ready yet, and they were all invited to sit and have a drink while waiting. We did. We were told the pizza and salad would be about 20 minutes, but it was longer than that. Since the restaurant was not crowded- about 4-5 tables while we where there - it did not seem as though it should have taken that long. The pizza was very good. Perfect thin crust with tasty sauce. We had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and onions.....substantial amounts of all...we can't complain.

We will definitely order from there again.

“Could be great!”
Reviewed October 31, 2013 via mobile

I visited this restaurant by chance after we stopped by Publix for vacation food shopping. It's conveniently located just around the corner so has lots of parking. It looks great as you walk in but lacks atmosphere. We were one of only two tables so maybe it has a better feel when full. We went around 5ish so it could have been at that crossover point. We were seated quickly and drinks orders were taken by a very friendly waitress and arrived quickly.

We are a mixed group so ordered a house special pizza, a pepperoni and a chicken dish from the menu for my daughter.

The pizza counter is located in full view of the restaurant so you can see your pizza being tossed and made from scratch which is very cool!

The pizza arrived first and the chicken 5 minutes later which was a little frustrating but everything tasted good. The food was priced well but the bar prices are horrifically expensive even by Hilton Head standards. It's a pizza joint not a 5 star restaurant!

There was an older man who we assumed to be the manager hovering around the table which was quite off putting and no sooner was the waitress clearing our table he was shoving the check in our face which made us feel quite unwelcome. It was a shame to end on a sour note as we were quite enjoying ourselves. If they were busy I may have understood it. Has real potential but they need to relax a little. Overall food great, drinks ridiculously priced. You wouldn't hang out at the bar area.

“Best pizza I've had in years!”

I know when your on an island you should have seafood but sometimes you just want a slice of pizza. This is the perfect place. Great pizzeria atmosphere, fast friendly service, and amazing pizza. Great on your budget too. I'll definitely be back.
