Mitchelville Beach Park is one of HHI best kept secrets. The views are beautiful and it is such a quiet area to soak in the beauty of the island.

The best beach to get away from the crowds and enjoy a nice walk and the lowcountry scenery. Not the best place for swimming but that is not why we go there.

I reviewed Mitchelville, and this beach is part of that park-you can walk out to the beach and walk for miles during low tide.

Here's a place to enjoy the ocean, the salt marshes and the silence without the crowds. Easy parking and facilities right at entrance to the boardwalk out to the beach. Take a beach chair and relax, photograph or paint what you see.

We discovered the Mitchelville Beach a few years ago. It is a wonderful little local gem ! It's always a fun time to hang out, tan in the water, due to the very low level during low tide! We take our boogie boards, lay out, laugh & have a great time for hours at a time.
