Friendly and accomodating staff when we checked in. The resort is on 31 acres of land and the grounds are well kept and is a gated community. We checked into a 3 bedrooom, 3 bathroom suite and we were happy when they said that we were going to have a unit in the "Ocean Dunes" building as we could see the ocean from the balcony & livingroom windows. The unit is over 1500 square feet and was well layed out with nice furnishings. Well equipped kitchen. Free internet was a real bonus. High quality linens and bedding and the beds were SO COMFY.
The resort offered many free activities and are varied so there are things for everyone to do.
The only negative thing that I can say it that it took a long time to get hot water.

We will be going for xmas this year and are so very excited because of our past experiences with this property and the staff. Because we are such a large group of FOUR generations, we wanted to be on one floor together and they managed to put us in three consecutive rooms in the building nearest to the beach last year. We have had the best memories at this resort. The pools are warm and if you want them warmer you can ask the front desk at the beginning of the week and they will make them hotter! We were very impressed with such service, as our visit is always in December. We use three villas, one 3 bdrm and two 2 bdrm, they have always been clean and gorgeous. Beds are awesome and the showers are perfectly giant for grandma to have her shower chair and also the kids to all get washed off from the pool or beach. I can't say enough about the activity staff, they come up with the best things to do for the kids AND the adults! We talk about this all year long! The front desk staff always greeted the kids with hot chocolate everyday. The kids were impressed and this extra touch made them feel important.
When great grandma wants to go to the beach we call the front desk and they have a golf cart there within 5 minutes and this makes her want to go more often since it is not a chore for anyone. This is the perfect place to have our family reunion every year because everyone always has something to do. They even have beach walks where a local expert takes you along the beach and educates you on everything from beach erosion to the turtles and shells that wash up on the shore.
I will post another review after we get back. I am sure it will exceed our expectations once again.

Room Tip: Just ask the front desk for anything and they will help you the best way they can. We find this our time and again that they must be trained by the same people who train the Nordstrom employees. Customer service is high here and it makes our family keep coming back, when we have 10 other resorts to pick from. surfwatch always wins

Everything here is excellent especially the cleanliness of the villas, bathrooms, common areas, grounds.
Two suggestions: the kitchen dishes have a lot of cracks, crazing, on them. They need to be replaced and the water is TOO soft. You always feel as though soap still clings to you.
Very friendly staff who really do accomodate with requests and upgrades. Thank you.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean front or ocean view villa. Owners get first choice but the staff does try to accomodate you.

Wonderful experience. We and two other couples rented a 3 bedroom condo. It was ideal, beautiful, nicely decorated, comfortable & roomy. Grounds and common areas were spotless & well kept, as well as very attractive. Would recommend for couples or families!

This 2-bedroom condo is nicely decorated, up-to-date and very comfortable for a week's stay. The kitchen is well appointed. It is an easy, 5-minute walk to the beach, and the grounds are very attractive, with much native vegetation preserved despite all the buildings on site. The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful. There was daily light housekeeping - fresh towels, emptied garbage cans.
Here are my quibbles:
The top sheet on the master king-size bed was meant for a queen size bed and barely came to the sides of the top of the mattress. I wish they would also ditch the feather pillows (achoo!) and heavy feather bed cover. They did bring non-feather pillows upon request.
The water seemed very soft, and it was hard to get all the soap off my hands; sometimes I just gave up!
The light bulbs are mostly cheap CFL's, which take a few minutes to get to their full brightness.
The free Wifi cut out intermittently, making us log on again and again.
Overall, it's a nice place to stay for a get-away if you don't mind not being right on the beach. The location makes it a quick 5-minute drive to the Coligny Beach area and easy to head out the other way off the island.

Room Tip: Ask for non-feather bedrooms if you are allergic.
