Really enjoyed our late December visit to Kenny B's, both for its food and service, despite a few food issues (see below). We went first for dinner and returned for breakfast the following morning, and would certainly go back again. Enjoyed the casual atmosphere, including the New Orleans and Mardi Gras decor. (Even put up with the Georgia Bulldogs everywhere -- just knew Va Tech would beat 'em in the Chick-fil-A Bowl!) The owner was delightful and she was working hard to serve everyone both for dinner and then again the following morning! Although our crab bisque was too salty (and unfortunately just wasn't very good), and many of our steamed garlic mussles (appetizer) were stil a bit frozen, we greatly enjoyed the rest of our meal. We didn't bring the problem to the owner's attention, but I am sure she would have taken care of the situation from what I could tell/observe. The shrimp and grits were great, full of flavor. Enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. The following morning, loved the beignets and cafe au lait! Although I can't give five stars because of the two food issues, still really liked Kenny B's and would recommend it.
