If we were visiting Hilton Head for the first time, the many positive comments on TripAdvisor would ensure that we schedule dinner at Red Fish. We are fans of Red Fish for many years.
Red Fish is a large handsome restaurant. There are three distinct dining areas, and all are attractive. There is also a large outdoor dining area with a fireplace. We like the mix of white tablecloth with wood tables, and we like the generous space between tables.
We like that the servers and chefs are well experienced. There seems to be an ever-changing set of hostesses, who are attempting to learn the ropes.
We know that Redfish present a great Caesar salad, and we precede the dinner with a bottle of Chardonnay. We like how the wine racks and wine walls accent Red Fish. Red Fish is a large handsome restaurant. We like the soft jazz playing in the background.
It is clear that tonight, the first Friday of Lent is busy, and both main dining rooms are nearly full by 5:30 PM. We observe that the filet of salmon is the choice of many diners. The largely geriatric diners enter dressed in very casual island attire. We do not observe any children and/or families; this has been true all week at the mid to upscale restaurants. Red Fish clientele is composed of retirees and Boomers.
The tariff is appropriate for the fare. If one has not yet experienced Red Fish, we encourage a visit one of Hilton Head’s finest restaurants.
