After reading all the reviews, we expected something special...but instead got poor service from rude staff. They charge for extra like chips that have come for free at every mexical restaurant I have ever been too...and the meal was just blah food at resort prices. The location is stuck in a parking lot next to a grocery store...but it is close to the more touristy area of the island, so I suspect alot of UNsuspecting tourists wander by, looking for something to eat after a long day at the beach, and are just happy for something low-key, but I am telling you, this place is NOT a place to come for actually good food or good value, and if you have ever been to a mexican restaurant anywhere else in the country, stay away, you will be sorely dissapointed.

This is the best mexican food I have had. No joke! Do not visit Hilton Head Island without eating at Amigos. We found Amigos by asking the locals where they go and they directed us there. The Margaritas are amazing. I had the BBQ chicken salad & my boyfriend ordered the veggie burrito (huge). Definitely add the guacamole to what ever you order. YUM! Prices are very reasonable. Looking forward to visiting Amigos again during our next trip to HH!

Family and I tried it one evening as we're always on the lookout for reasonably priced, fresh food. We rely on Tripadvisor for good advice, both at home and traveling. Unfortunately, this did not live up to our expectations. Criticisms include: impatient (rude?) order taker, cramped space, and un-inspired food. Given other choices on the Island, we will go elsewhere.

Have eaten here for so many years that a review was in order. All kinds of free sauces are available and the prices are very reasonable for the island. Simple decor and bar, and take out is terrific. Try the oyster or /and fish tacos (excellent), the burritos are huge and delicious, and be sure to sample all the free sauces-even the ones they are just testing out. Plus the place is hidden away, even though Coligny is right across the street. Worth a trip

I go here all the time and I am never disappointed!! The Bbq salad is THE BEST! Everyone is friendly, food is quick, price is great!
