Description: We are a full Market with a Cafe serving breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. We are also an artisan producer of specialty foods at our farmstand 50 miles from Hilton Head where we make soups, sauces, chutneys, relishes, chow chows, pickles and preserves. We serve the items we produce at our farmstand on our menu. For instance, we have a oooey gooey sandwich which is made with our garlic pepper jelly; a frank's furter with homemade strawberry pepper jelly and artichoke relish and grilled onions that is the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Lowcountry Produce represents the best food traditions of the south. Our market offers gourmet takeaway, our homemade market salads and tasty sweets. We have local produce, local eggs, local honey, olive oils, wine and beer, cheese, aged balsamic vinegars, steaks, and other market items.

“Great Breakfast”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

Been meaning to give this place a shot since it opened but this was my first visit. Stopped in for breakfast since I could walk to Sea Pines Center from the condo.
Excellent breakfast at a decent price. Great french toast. Four (instead of the usual three) pieces of really thick and flavorful strips of bacon. Their biscuits were raised to 'outstanding' status with the addition of the fresh peach marmalade or jam that was served with it.
They did a really nice job with breakfast, and I look forward to giving them a chance to do the same with lunch or dinner in the near future. They also have an excellent store offering baked goods and other food items.

“Perfect Spot!”
Reviewed April 19, 2014 via mobile

We were visiting Hilton Head for spring break and made it to our favorite spot. They moved the bar to the front of the store serving local and craft beer, good wine, and cocktails. Farm to table menu rocked. Recommend to families for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our kids loved the whoppie pies. The perfect spot for couples to have a drink. We'll be back....many times.

“Outstanding!”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

I felt I needed to write this review, but have never written one before. My wife and I discovered this place last year and enjoyed it a lot. We just returned to Hilton Head, and like a good friend, Lowcountry Produce Mkt & Cafe was there to greet us when we walked in. Once again, it has been a great addition to our vacation. Last night, we had another great meal here, served by warm and inviting people. The menu at the café/restaurant section captures the best of the lowcountry and the atmosphere is upbeat, fun, and relaxed. The breakfast, lunch, and supper menus are all different and the result is fresh food that we simply can't make as well ourselves or found anywhere else on the island. Like last year, the service this year is engaging, professional, and friendly. It's now Spring, and like all restaurants on the island, LowCountry Market & Café seems to be in full bloom. As for the market, there are great choices. My wife and I have bought some food in their market to take back to our cottage. Again, we haven't been disappointed with those decisions either. Try the gumbo. Try the sweet potato butter. Try my favorite jelly - red plum. This place captures all that is good with the lowcountry and Hilton Head. It is quirky, fun, relaxing, interesting, clean, and at reasonable prices. This market & café doesn't clamor for attention. It has simply become a great and reliable neighbor.

“Don't miss it for breakfast or lunch”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

We asked the front desk staff to recommend a restaurant that served healthy, fresh food--not deep fried--and they recommended Low Country Produce. When we arrived we were not sure it was a restaurant--looked more like a store. Luckily it was both. We had lunch--just great. Both sandwiches were terrific as was the side of broccoli and raisin salad. We decided the breakfast menu looked better than anything we had seen so returned the next morning. What a treat. We each had the breakfast bowl which is layered grits (really, really good), home fries (ditto), sausage, scrambled eggs and two crispy strips of bacon. I'm not a grits fan but I am now. Sat outside in 72 degrees, finished it all, and washed it down with a mimosa. My friend was leaving today and couldn't hit the road without another Breakfast Bowl, so there we were at 8am, no one there but the chef, who welcomed us and cooked up two bowls immediately. Even better than before.
This is an unfound gem. I'm almost reluctant to write this review, fearing that next year when I return it won't be so unfound. Woody, the guy who served us each time, is attentive and polite. Oh yes, don't overlook their homemade preserves, jellies, chutneys--fabulous.
