Neo was recently reopened under new owner/chef. The small eatery had constant people arriving with reservations. You need one if you are to be seated in a timely fashion. The menu has a variety of options. Local produce and organic selections make for tasty meals. Short ribs and pizza were our choices along with a salad that was large enough to share. There is a large bar that offers most drinks to compliment the meal. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. It is very different from most in Hilton Head. If you are looking for a change check it out.

I highly recommend dining here. The damned Yankee flatbread was to die for and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. And when you go, be sure to ask for Kristin! She was kind and attentive, which made our experience that much more enjoyable.

I had the salmon and it was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and most of all our waitress was very good. She seemed very happy to wait on us and was more than helpful. If you go to Neo ask for Kristen. And try the salmon. :)

The restaurant prides itself on sourcing local raw material. Yes, but! Sometimes local does not equate with the best, nor does popularity suggest a good experience. My family just returned from a dinner that was "average" and poorly served. The 2 waitresses on duty were hard pressed to take care of the crowd. Our drinks were very late in coming, the beer was not what we ordered, the wine bottle arrived with a single glass and when the appetizers eventually arrived they were followed immediately by the main courses! At that point we were told they had run out of one selection and another choice had to be made. The brazed short ribs were tough and fatty, the seared tuna was tough and totally covered by a heavy sauce. When the dessert menu was presented we discovered it lacked any pricing. Yes, we will return someday, long after they get their act together!

This pretentious cafe - I would not call it restuarant as it looks the same as a pizza joint charges the same high prices as a white table cloth restaurant but does not deliver. The menu is varied but the food combinations muddled. The Fried Calmari appetizer was coated in a red pepper sweet sauce and served over cole slaw with chop sticks - Asian Carolina fusion? The pasta dish was too full of rich sauce to eat more than a few bites, lobster succotash was a sorry ill conceived mess of beans, corn, a couple shrimp and some lobster meat in a sauce, The flatbead margherita pizza was well received and as for the oysters rockefeller pizza, let just say that oyster rockefeller do not belong on a pizza. As for the farm to table nonsense, hard to say since everything that wasn't moving was eithered slathered in a sauce or fried. Typical sky high Hilton head prices for much about nothing.
