“A Taste of Low Country Cooking”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

A really good way to taste southern Low Country cuisine. The chicken has a tasty crispy batter/covering,The Buttermilk catfish had the same coating but did not overwhelm the delicate taste of the fish..The sides with the entrees are the right size. If you order the same sides as an extra order the serving is very large so be ready to share with at least two others. A casual environment suitable for dropping in for lunch or dinner.

“annie o's hidden treasure”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

as usual we headed out to find a local rest. that's not pretending to be a food snob but serves really good food made from scratch..hidden off 278 out of sea pines we found it. we had the tomato pie( crust made in house ) it was made to order and was so refreshing..served with small frisee salad..ummmmgood..husband had fried chicken ( had to take half back to villa) mac/cheese red beans /rice( i know thatreally is a combination, huh?) he said it was the best chicken he had on the island..you know what else made this a great experience? the friendliness of the wait staff etc. that's so important in the rest business..nomatter how good the food is ,if it isn't welcoming, you tend not to go back too often...find it and enjoy..they also have a bar(ample glass of wine)

“Talk about GOOD !!!”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

It is a good thing this restaurant is 15 miles from my house, or I would be so fat you couldn't see my eyes!!! The food is marvelous and service was excellent. Try the spinach salad with the
HOME MADE Vidalia Onion dressing. Yum Yum Good.

“Some of the best food we've ever put in our mouths!”
Reviewed October 14, 2012 via mobile

We found Annie O's because they were one of the few places (besides fast-food places) open mid-afternoon. Our waiter (from Maine) was super-friendly & more than willing to answer our questions. Service was a little on the slow side but we weren't in a hurry, either.

The Mama's eggroll & fried green tomatoes we shared as appetizers were both tasty. Two of us had the shrimp with cheese grits, which were delicious, but the best entree of our visit was my friend's sweet potato ravioli. Her description: "OMG, it was so good, my eyes rolled back in my head!" I have to agree. It was sweet & buttery & rich...wow!

Sadly, we didn't save room for dessert but they had a scrumptious-sounding Bailey's bread pudding that I hope to try on a return visit.

The portions were ample for the price & the dinner menu is available all day.

We definitely look forward to coming back.

“Hidden Find”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Great southern cooking. Reasonable prices. I had the fried chicken - the best. Agreat little restaurant that is hidden on Arrow Road. Try it - you will not be disappointed.
