It was a fun museum and nature walk-type experience. The workers inside were super helpful and give you a pamphlet so that you can take a self guided tour. There is a number to call so that you can have an audio tour as well, which we enjoyed! The water and land were beautiful! If you are on a budget or looking for something to do outside besides the beach, I recommend this place!

We always include The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn into our travel plans. It's a fun little museum, run by lovely people, lots of island history explained to you. We usually spend a few hours here at least once in our 2 week stay. When we bring people with us, it's one of the first places we take them on island.

We were very disappointed. Other than the lovely shop/house, the rest shouldn't have even been open to visit. Off season, dont' even bother with it as there's not much to see on the grounds.

we spent a lovely afternoon escaping the crowds when we visited here. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, giving wonderful information, suggestions and advice. The grounds are well kept, easy to maneuver, and the guides pointed out numerous plants, vegetation, creatures and how everything interconnects.

Enjoy the art and other displays explaining the history of the low country. Walk the grounds to see and learn more about life long ago.

This center is packed with information of the people and wildlife/plants of the area. As you enter you will be given a map of the grounds and have opportunity browse the displays and learn about the people who settled in the area. Walk the trails and study the plant, insect and birds.

I cannot believe we have not found this museum before. Had a great day walking the grounds and viewing the amazing structures that are being featured for free through Jan 2019.Worth a trip!

One could easily spend 1/2 day at this museum enjoying the displays, reading the information, and walking the trail outdoors. The attendants were helpful and informative. If you are prone to attracting mosquitoes, you might wear insect repellent to ward of the pasty “noseeums”, which you don’t see!

We came for the farmer's market (small but very worth going to) but decided to take a tour of the museum and the associated outdoor trail. It was a nice introduction to the area and its history as well as the flora and fauna. The folks there are super friendly and seem to enjoy their time there - making it a nice little relatively quick stop. So glad we went!
