The front desk staff was friendly and curtious through out my stay. The breakfast was ample, the staff attendende promptly to the food and filling where necessary. The room was fresh and clean upon my arrival, and throughout my stay.

We checked into the hotel over a very busy July 4th weekend. We were given an extremely large room however the stench was overwhelming from cleaning chemicals. This should have been a sign to us that the hotel was trying to hide something. We were told that the last room available was the room they were providing us. This room had a similar smell but it seemed a bit "softer" than the room before. Of course this new room didn't have towels etc. This was soon remedied by the front desk however upon further inspection of the room we found mold in the bathroom, at the vents, stains in the carpet etc. It was pretty much a disgrace.
The next morning we had breakfast in the hotel. At $10 per person we thought we couldn't go wrong. Well we did. The food was tasteless and there weren't any utensils or napkins available. Money wasted. We left for the beach and came back hours later to a room that had not been made. We were so annoyed with the hotel and the poor service it wasn't even worth a call to
the front desk.

Thank you for sharing your latest experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Hilton Head, as every comment our guests make is vital to our success. Our number one opportunity to make things right is while our guests are still on property and I am sorry that did not occur. I have discussed your concerns with the housekeeping staff regarding the overpowering scent to make sure future guests do not have this same experience. We have already adjusted the Aaon unit to achieve standard humidity levels even when near 90-100% humidity outside like during July 4th weekend. Though we are all excited about the re-surfacing project on Fording Island Rd, it has created some challenges with tracking in tar and oil throughout our hotel. Carpeted areas affected by this will be serviced later this month. You’ll be happy to hear that in December we will be undergoing a renovation to refresh our lobby and breakfast area, the new update will allow us to better serve all guests in the future. In the meantime, we have worked to address the seating challenges with our team. Thank you again for your review and I hope that you will give us another opportunity on your next visit to Hilton Head. Greg Burnes – General Manager greg.burnes@hilton.com

This hotel is just what I expected. Clean, upscale and location was great...easy access to shopping and the beach is just a short drive away. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was wonderful! Fresh baked cookies at the desk was also a nice treat.

The rooms are very nice and include refrig and microwave. Free wireless is a plus. One downside is that you are always hearing the doors of other rooms slam shut. All staff, except one front desk clerk who was more interested with eating and surfing the internet, were very friendly and helpful. This included the Housekeeping staff. Although we did not partake of the breakfast buffet, it looked very enticing. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Room awy from ice machines.

Overall the hotel was nice. However for the cost you would expect the facility to be updated. The rooms were clean, matress comfortable, however the bathroom was dated, the shower had some mold, the faucet dripped and the fiberglass tub had a big crack in it. . As someone else stated the tv channels were limited. The staff was friendly, and check in was fast. At this level of hotel, I would not expect to have to pay for breakfast. This is convient to the outlet malls, however be aware this is not on Hilton head island.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience regarding the Hilton Garden Hilton Head. We are glad that you enjoyed the cleanliness of the property and slept well on the air baffled adjustable bed. The Hilton Garden Inn is one of ten brands created by Hilton to meet your needs. The style of the bathroom is constantly going through revisions. Your comments will only help that along. Although a new design is in the future, our guests should not have to be annoyed by a dripping faucet or a damaged tub. I do apologize for those occurrences. As mentioned earlier, the HGI brand was created to offer a hot, cook to order breakfast that was a step up from buffet and continental breakfasts. The need was great enough, Hilton recognized that not all guests would want to carry the burden of paying for a meal if they were not going to eat. Therefore, Hilton created the option at the Hilton Garden Inn brands to join us for breakfast at a completive cost. Yet, not adding it to the room rate giving the choice for all guests. You mentioned how close we are to the Tanger Outlet Malls and the convenience it offered. We are located 750 feet from the causeway and bridge to Hilton Head Island as well. We look forward in servicing you again in the near future. Greg Burnes-General Manager greg.burnes@hilton.com .
