Terrific stay! It's worth the extra money for the oceanfront views. Staff very helpful and the concierge, Ms. Kitty is outstanding. Arrival and departure experience very smooth. Access to activities are easy, but wish there were water sports on-site. Restaurant and bar service were very friendly and quick. Overall, great for families.

Its time to clean this hotel up as its age is now going beyond what a level 6 hotel should be. The people are wonderful but when the paint is peeling off the walls and the soap dish is rusting and the interior is beyond what a good scrub can do its time to renovat or retire

Stayed at Marriott Hilton Head the hotel turned out to be very nice, the beach was great. Treated so nicely by all the staff, always hello, good morning etc. Expensive for food and drinks, but to be expected, we shopped for our own food and no problem bringing your own to the pool. That was nice, other resorts we have stayed at ban bringing your own. No problems with noise, just some rowdy boys next door, but quiet at night. They gave us free valet since our room was not ready, that was nice. Overall had a great stay. July 22-29.

Room Tip: Spent a little extra for ocean view, better that my sister's ugly roof top view, but not much ti...

We spent some time looking for a nice place to stay on Hilton Head and eventually opted for the Marriott resort. The hotel was nice and relatively clean with private access to the beach which was great. The rooms where ok, very very humid despite the air con and very few had a good view of the ocean. The staff was very kind and helpful. Overall a good stay but pretty expensive for what it was.

We traveled for 14 hours from NY to SC expecting of course a very nice ocean/pool view, we got room 333( never forget) a very disturb like AC generator/wall (very loud) was what we got for view, not only that the window that divide the balcony from the room had a huge leak which we report and they installed a huge blower to dried the rug which didn't help because the leak was so big the rug was wet for few inches inside, they kept it inside the room until we left, my kids didn't want to walk without shoes because the rug was so wet, and my husband started to note that funny smell too, I ask to change room but they said they were sold out, the day before we leave we saw the huge cockroach on the balcony, I was packing everything so I pull a shirt that i had on the chair when another one felt off from the shirt, So disgusting , the ocean and pool were great but the building and accommodation not so good experience!

Room Tip: Never choose 333

We visited the Marriott Resort & Spa in Hilton Head for three nights. The reviews of the hotel are accurate. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The pool and beach are excellent. The rooms need updating. We stayed in a room that smelled musty and the air quality was not the best. I told the manage Ian and he was very understanding and offered another room. We only had one more night at the hotel so decided to stay put but was kind enough to offer a credit to use for dining. Great location and my understanding is that the hotel will go through a major renovation next year. Would stay again. Great Family Vacation.

I highly recommend the Hilton Head Marriott Resort. Our original vacation was planned for Amelia Island, FL, however after one night we decided to change to hilton head. I found a great rate on marriott. com so we booked the rest of week there. When we arrived, I pulled the car up and was immediatly helped by the bellman, I started to help him remove our luggage from the car and he said, "save your energy for the beach sir", this set the tone for the week. From the General Manager Christine, to the very helpful Concierge personnel, the front desk, the guys cleaning the pool in the morning, the maintenance staff, security, and everyone else, nothing but professional and very customer friendly. A very enjoyable well run hotel. We had a wonderful family vacation week at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort.

Room Tip: Coffee from the main (2nd floor) level store costs less than the Starbucks coffee in the 1st floor g...
