Our second visit to Barony and we loved it! The proximity to the ocean is priceless. The rooms were what you would expect from a Marriott - large, clean, well appointed. That washer/dryer is invaluable! The drive in to the Barony is lovely too - you really feel set back from the hustle and bustle. The desk staff were very helpful, especially as regards golf reservations. The only drawback I had was with the spa - they never returned calls and the staff was quite condescending. I went to the Westin next door instead and had a wonderful spa experience. It's walking distance. But the Barony itself is a great experience, I highly recommend it. Oh, and the beach staff were absolutely great about umbrellas, and chairs etc... and they remember you!

Room Tip: We had a room that was not oceanfront and it was totally fine.

Recently stayed at the Barony Beach Club on an exchange. Oceanside accomodations were available and the unit was great. Beautiful villas and excellant service. The only downside is the sales pitch that you have to hear before you get to your villa.

We have owned at Marriott for over 25 years and were very pleased with the legacy program. Love Marriott timesahres and enjoy the properties on Hilton Head especially Grand Ocean with it's beautiful Tennis Courts and activities. Followed by Monarch, Barony and Harbour Club. No problem with any of the aformentioned. Each has it's own personality. If you Love the Beach, Pools Tennis and great bar than I would pick The Grand Ocean. It's the best timeshare on Hilton Head.

Room Tip: Oceanside and Ocean Front rooms are the best. Try to stay away from the rooms that are adjacent the Westin Hotel loading docks as they are the noisiest. Not bad however note worthy.

We spent several days at Barony Beach this spring. I was really impressed. Naturally, the units were great...after all, it is a Marriott property, so you know exactly what to expect. We had reserved a garden side unit and the view was lovely, and it was lively, but still quiet. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, and the property is really beautiful. I agree that the staff is top notch, and really goes out of their way to help you with any request. The beach is beautiful, too. Broad sandy white beaches make me feel very serene. We had a great time.

Room Tip: We really loved the garden side villas. Probably a little quieter than the ocean side, but that area is very nice, too.

We recently stayed Saturday-Tuesday at the Marriott Barony. The hotel is perfect for families. The suites are spacious, have full kitchens and washer and dryers. Amenities include several (heated) pools, shuffle board and corn hole games, grills open to guests' use. Bike rentals are available and we enjoyed being able to ride bikes on the beach. Bike paths are all along the island. The beach was beautiful and our kids loved finding sand dollars in the water.

We rented a week from Vacation Candy. Not only did The Vacation Candy group service us well, the Marriott was an outstanding resort to stay at with superb service. I would like to commend the staff individually; Jerry Fahringer, , Tyrone Ellis and one of the managers Vince. You made our stay very special. I had made an inquiry about the beautiful trees on the property and Vince sent me an individual note informing me of the history the beautiful crepe myrtle trees that are indiginous to South Carolina. We had a great time and plan on coming back next year. Thankyou! Mary Stenson

Room Tip: A great tropical vacation for the whole family=2 adults and 3 teens
