There's not much more I can add that others haven't already said. Disney is all about creating a good experience for their guests and they certainly deliver in Hilton Head. Despite the unseasonably cold temperatures during the 2013 Thanksgiving holiday, which limited outdoor activities, we still had a very nice stay. The one bedroom condo was spacious and the full kitchen was perfect for us. We even used it to cook a full six-course Thanksgiving feast from start to finish. The unit had an oven, stove, microwave, and coffee maker, and the large refrigerator/freezer even had an automatic ice maker. We also had a variety of dishes and utensils available in the cabinets that made it unnecessary to bring our own from home. There were plenty of on-site activities to take advantage of - even during Thanksgiving day itself, when most other resorts would have been working on a limited schedule. If I had one minor complaint it would be that the king bed was uncomfortable, with its uneven, springing mattress. The fold-out queen sofa was actual more comfortable. Other than that, I would say the property exceeded our expectations and we stay at the Disney Hilton Head Resort again.

Room Tip: If you want to save on eating out, get a one or two bedroom condo. They have a full kitchen. The stu...

Six of us stayed at a 2-bedroom villa for Thanksgiving weekend. We really enjoyed all the old-fashioned activities including goofy bingo, the turkey bowl, billiard, shuffle board, foosball, etc. My two kids 12 / 13 never said they were bored and not a roller coaster in sight. Amazing. In the room we played board games, watched videos, etc. and visited local places like Harbor Town lighthouse. The marina cove area was very quiet and much closed (perhaps time of year)--that was a bit disappointing. We were hoping to walk over to a plethora of shopping and eating establishments. All the staff was FABULOUS--this is truly what makes something a Disney hotel versus anywhere else. The Christmas decorations throughout the resort was a nice and welcome surprise for us. The resort is small, which I found charming compared to the mega resorts we've stayed at in the past. Parking never an issue, minimal wait for amenities. Do not expect fine dining on site here, but there is plenty to offer nearby.

Room Tip: Stay closer to community hall if you plan to do a lot of activities. Stay closer to the Den/Lodge ar...

Need to first say that I am not a Disney Vacation Club member. We stayed at the resort as a regular paying guest.

We travelled to Hilton Head for a short 4 night stay. We chose the location as it is a 2 day drive from Toronto, we are Disney fans and appreciate Disney standards.

The resort did not disappoint. We booked a 2 bedroom villa for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children). It was massive!

The kids' room was larger than the Hampton Inn we stayed in on our trip down to South Carolina. The kids' room had 2 queen sized beds, a table and chairs, flat screen TV, full bathroom, closet and still had room for the pack and play for my youngest.

The master bedroom had a king sized bed with its own TV. There was also a large split bath with both a shower and 2 person jacquzzi tub.

The main living area had a full kitchen, with all appliances, an island and a dining table. Living area also had a comfy pull out couch and two chairs. There was a mud room/area with a washer and dryer. There was a third TV with a DVD player.

There was also two porches: one off the main living area and master bedroom with a full picnic table and two rocking chairs. The second porch was off the second room with more chairs.

The room was fully stocked. There were more than enough towels, including pool towels. The kitchen had all required cooking and eating utensils for 8. We were provided cleaning supplies for both the dishes and the laundry, daily.

The resort is big but still walkable. We were able to walk to the main pool in just a few minutes. Same goes with the main reception.

All the important areas are around the pool: the merchandise store, the small quick service counter and the activities desk. The heated pool was very nice. It has a fun water slide and plenty of pool chairs. There is also a hot tub and toddler pool. Kids have plenty of activities at hand including pool, ping pong and foosball.

There are great evening activities including free outdoor movies and campfires. There are plenty of free and paid activities. The main desk provides a list of the activities for the week when checking in.

While the resort is not on the beach, there is a beach house, which is a short drive away. The resort does offer a shuttle to and from. The beach house has a smaller heated pool with plenty of pool chairs. There is a snack bar, bar and super clean facilities. We did not use the beach house or the beach as it was cold. We did check it out and were impressed.

I don't have much bad to say about the resort. The only thing that bothered me were the cold tile floors in the room. Otherwise, it was a near perfect stay. We have already planned to return next year and stay longer!!

What a great place. i bought into the DVC recently and this was our first stay. I cannot speak to the value of the stay because I do not know what it would cost if i just booked it outside of DVC. However, for us it was magical. They have events throughout the day for kids and that is what mattered the most to us. My 3 year old daughter had the time of her life and within just a few days every "cast" member on site knew her name. There are things for adults to do as well.

We came here in the off season (November) so it was not crowded and the weather was perfect.

Room Tip: We stayed in a two bedroom villa, building #31. Building 31 is perfect as it is on the edge of the...

Quiet, serene beach resort. Not a lot of kids, but maybe the time of year, mid-November. We came to celebrate my birthday. We really enjoyed it. Nice accomodations, friendly staff. Nice view from our balcony. Shuttle to the beach or drive over. Walking distance, across the bridge, to restaurants. Beautiful grounds. It's great that Disney allows you to do just a few days, rather than a full week.

This resort most definitely exceeded my expectations, which were pretty high, having stayed in other Disney properties previously. The apartment we stayed in was huge with separate sleeping and living areas, plus a Jacuzzi bath, separate shower and two basin areas. The kitchen/diner/living room was very well appointed and there was also a separate utility area with a washing machine and dryer - really useful after 10 days on the road. There was also a large porch with rocking chairs - blissful to sit out and look over the wetlands area.

We drove to the beach house as we didn't want to hang around and wait for the transport and we enjoyed the heated pool and access to the beautiful beach. The pool and hot tub at the resort were also excellent.

There are minimal options for eating at the resort and we chose to self-cater for breakfast. This is really easy to do as there is a small shop on site which sold all the essentials, and the kitchen was very well-stocked for cutlery, crockery etc. The dishwasher meant that clearing up wasn't a chore either. We ate dinner at one of the local restaurants one night and ordered a delivery pizza the second as we just didn't want to leave the comfortable apartment!

There are lots of activities for adults and children at different times of the day - some are free, but some have a small charge attached. My husband went on a free three-hour nature trail of nearby Pinckney Island Nature Preserve, which he said was really good.

I wished we had had longer than just two nights here - it was totally relaxing and peaceful. Disney always know how to deliver quality, seemingly effortlessly, and Hilton Head resort is a perfect example of Disney at their best.
