4 adults and 4 kids stayed here for a week this summer. beautiful house - lots of room for all of us. in-law suite was a great plus since it was 2 families vacationing together. the in-law suite had its own kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom AND private entrance accessed outside or via garage. garage was a VERY tight fit for a Ford Expendition - maybe 2" of leeway at back and 1" at front! the pool was a good size - the shallow end was a little deeper than your average shallow end - maybe 3 1/2' deep. and it was very cloudy. apparently the renters immediately prior to us weren't careful about how much sand they were tracking into it. the pool deck was outfitted with several lounge chairs (awesome!) and a glass top table (not too pracitcal by a pool) and matching chairs. this was a great place to have lunch - shaded and right by the pool. i would have rated higher than overall average, but there seemed to be more 'palmetto bugs' and my kids' room had a couple too many spiders - not the huge, furry, faint at the sight of them kind, but spiders nonetheless. one coming down from the ceiling and one crawling on my child's bed. the kids actually each came home with 2 spider bites on tummies and backs. (ick.) the overall cleanliness was OK, not what i'd call great. the bathroom counters, tub and shower floors needed another wipedown because there was still some hair and dirt on them. they weren't filthy but they weren't really clean either. i have gotten used to taking Clorox/Lysol wipes with us on trips just to ensure i can wipe down if need be - definitely glad i had them. the walk to the beach was shorter than we thought for the price we paid (a very fair rental charge). and the house is at the end of a dead-end street so no thru traffic. OVERALL - this is a property both families agree we will stay in again. hopefully the rental agency is more attentive to the insect control issue.
