“Awesome. Ignore bad reviews ”

My husband, 6mo old daughter and myself came here for a week, after staying a week in Florida. Awesome rooms, heated pool lots to do around the area. I don't see how people can comment negatively! We stayed in a 2 bed 2.5 bath. We had 2 big balconies. The kitchen has everything you'd need. Obviously you have to bring FOOD, salt, pepper, sugar,, that kind of stuff. Bring your own paper towels and napkins. We will be coming back next year. There is coligny plaza right next door, plenty of shops, restaurants, Ice cream shops and a grocery store. If you drive about 20 min, there are 2 outlet malls... Drive an hour and you're in savannah. must go to savannah if you come here. It is clean, they have a dishwasher and plenty of space in the apartment. They have laundry on site. You can have maid service for $35 per day. BUT WHY? wipe your own counters, empty your own trash and if you can't use the same sheets for ONE week, then wash them yourself. Not a big deal!! If your doing extended stay then maybe use maid service every few weeks. We saw no roaches, no spiders, had NO PROBLEMS. I highly recommend staying at sea crest ! Also, there are plenty of bars and places to have drinks if you're Into that ! One negative thing.... Do not eat at New York City Pizza!! It's disgusting lol. Were from NY and it was a terrible idea. Other than that, FANTASTIC TRIP!!!!!!!

We did not like anything about this resort....Nothing.
We came here with an RCI timeshare trade. Worst choice ever!
The only thing that is good about this place is its location to the restaurants nearby in
Coligny Plaza. You will also be granted access to the beach that belongs the the Sea Crest Condo complex (which is not the same as this place which is across the street).

After staying one night and almost leaving just after we arrived, the only saving grace to the start of our vacation was that RCI was able to move us to a clean and respectable timeshare far away from this DUMP.

This place is very very old. Nothing is uniform about the condo. Dishes don't match, utensils don't match, cups, plates, etc are all hodge-podge. The stove was totally rusted and dirty. The microwave have leftover splatters inside. The towels were see through. No dish soap provided or kleenexes. The furniture was out of my grandparents forgotten cottage. The condo was smelly & was very dirty upon our arrival. There were cockroaches in the unit. I brought this up to the desk and they said, oh, those are palmetto bugs..? Do you know that a palmetto bug is another name for the AMERICAN COCKROACH! OMG - wake up!

When we brought up how dirty the unit was - dust bunnies abound, roaches, cobwebs in the corners of the bedroom, dirty stove and microwave, the desk said they may be able to move us to another unit down the hall. I went and checked out that unit too... just as freaking dirty. Cobwebs and its homeowner (spider - large) in the corners of the bedrooms. It was too much for housekeeping to move the lamps in the corners to vacuum.

The bathroom vent - did not look like it was ever cleaned.
They updated the condo by putting down wood plank vinyl flooring in the hall and bathroom. Unfortunately - they never bothered to remove the prior vinyl flooring which was old tile checker box/diamonds.. which over time - brought that texture up and into the fake wood plank vinyl. Just a sad state of affairs.

Our socks turned dark brown within 30 minutes of walking around the unit. The floors were not truly cleaned. The carpet had white fuzzies floating all over.

The majority of the people staying here were seniors, so I can only think that eyesight must have been an issue as why they would stay. If you have standards, you would never come here.

RCI should drop this place from their inventory - STAT!

Room Tip: Avoid this place like the plague. If you have standards, you would never stay here.

The condo we rented had two bedrooms, each with its own "en suite" bathroom and a powder room. I especially liked the powder room because when family visited they didn't need to feel uncomfortable entering one of the bedrooms to use the bathroom. Each bedroom was comfortable - the master had a king bed and the second one had two twins. In addition, there were a set of bunk beds in the entry alcove and the couch in the living room opened into a bed, although we did not use these last two options.

The facility is located across the street from a very large shopping plaza with more than 60 shops, including a grocery store and an ice cream shop.

The activities, with the exception of the evening pub crawl and the almost-daily beach walk, were geared toward children. We did not take advantage of any of them.

Our condo faced the pool and this meant that it could be noisy if people were very actively using and socializing around the pool. Our only problem with our stay centered on this area. On Saturday evening a group of about ten adults was very loud in that area. A call to the night watchman did not fix the problem. On Sunday night it was even worse and again we called the night watchman. On our second call to him, we were told that the people did not comply with his efforts to get them to quiet down and he had called the sheriff's department. When two deputies arrived, they did not immediately disperse the group, instead joked around with them. After about 20 minutes, the group finally left the pool area. Presumably the noise would not have been so loud on the side of condos facing the parking lot. Not as nice a view, but renters may want to consider this when booking a condo.

Seacrest is not one of the newer, top end locations, but the overall location and quality can't be beat. Right next door to Coligny Plaza makes it convenient to shops, grocery stores and a wide variety or restaurants. The beach is less than a five minute walk, and the beachfront pool access and deck overlooking the beach can't be beat. The resort has two pools, a hot tub, grills and a playground area for children. The "Crest Nest" offers books, tv and games/activities for the younger guests. The units are constantly being upgraded, so while you won't typically find marble countertops, the rooms are spacious, especially in the two bedroom units, and there is plenty of privacy for smaller families or families with young children. Have been going to this resort for 30 plus years, and it is one of the most convenient and affordable.

Room Tip: Pools on either side overlook a pool. The size of the unit helps determine location, but corne unit...

Susan and I bought our very first timeshare week here back in 1981, and we've been returning here, as well as trading our weeks, ever since. We've experienced very high-end units and some that shouldn't even be allowed to exist any more, so we know what's out there in the timeshare universe. Sea Crest never disappoints. It's a stand-alone development, owner-run, and it's been kept up and refurbished as needed throughout the years. The staff is very attentive, and very responsive to requests for help. The units and grounds are very clean and well kept as well as having outstanding landscaping. it's directly across the street from the oldest and best known shopping plaza on Hilton Head Island, Coligny Plaza, which contains everything from a Piggly Wiggly grocery store to the number two restaurant on the island. Although the complex itself isn't directly on the beach, it has its own pool and deck on the beach across the street, less than a block away. There are two more pools and a hot tub on the property, along with tennis courts a short walk away. The staff can help with setting up golf reservations with a discount to local courses. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, and relaxing is something we've grown to appreciate over the years. We still use Sea Crest as a base for day trips to places like Charleston, Bluffton, Beaufort, Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, the city of Savannah and other nearby locations and/or shopping. There are two Tanger outlet malls to the west just off the Island. Rental bikes are available locally. There are 42" flat screen TVs in the living rooms, and well equipped standard full kitchens. We still look forward to our visits after all this time.
