The crab dip was fabulous, great cocktails, and the most amazing Bischick ever! Great for a date night.

The good- I cannot tell you how truly fantastic and delicious the food is. My husband and I are foodies and snobs really when it comes to food. We only buy the finest produce and food ourselves and enjoy cooking. Every dish our party of 7 ordered was incredible. My parents, who believe the "Olive Garden" is great Italian food, said their dishes were delicious! Usually gourmet food is different for them and they do not like it. They were impressed. The blackened shrimp and grits were amazing! The grits were creamy and cheesy with a wonderful sausage gravy. Even our picky daughter loved them. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. It is amazing!

The bad- the hostess needs better training. We arrived at 5:30 and had to wait over an hour. However, we were happy to wait now knowing what we now about the food. Nevertheless, there were several- four tables that were set and empty, ready to be sat, and the hostess was not on top of this. She should have sat those waiting sooner. There wed many who came, learned of the wait, and left. The restaurant is losing customers and money. The customers are losing the opportunity to eat at this delicious restaurant.

Th ugly- the air conditioners are clearly not working. One room in the bar read 87 degrees and he other room's thermostat said 84 degrees. It was uncomfortable to say the least. The interior is decorated with some nice things such as the mason jars on the table and the gas pump clock, and the patio looks to be a nice place, but the inside tables and floors, including the bar were dumpy. He food took and awfully long time to prepare, but excellent food takes time and is with the wait. This being said, the food is the centerpiece.

Loved the food. Long wait was worth it. Can't wait until the tourists are gone, so the lines will be shorter.

Our family of 5 ate here in July on a Saturday night-our last night of our trip. It was great! After reading reviews about lengthy wait times for dinner, we didn't want to spend time waiting around so we did go early--like 4:30 early! Our server was so great...did not rush us at all and her recommendations were wonderful and helpful. The atmosphere is cozy and we had a great time. I would definitely go back next time we go to HHI! -and yes, the banana pudding was awesome!

We had a great experience. Super friendly service. The shrimp and grits were great and the portion was huge. A VERY cute place with outdoor dining. Nice desserts as well.
