Owner description: Bring your little pirate aboard the Black Dagger and set sail on the pirate cruise of their dreams! From Beginning to end the action is non-stop as we transform the kids into our Pirate Crew. The adventure starts at the dock where each little mate gets to put on some pirate gear and learns to talk like a pirate. Once they’ve sworn their allegiance to the boat they are officially part of the Crew and get to join us in the hunt for loot. We’ve got a map that leads to a sunken treasure chest, but Stinky Pete knows about it too and he stole the key. The race is on to find Stinky Pete, and get the key back before he can steal the treasure for himself. Once we find him our new Crew is going to have to man the water cannons, and blast the stink right off of Pete until he gives us the key!Fortunately, at Pirates of Hilton Head, we always beat Stinky Pete and every little pirate always gets a handful of the loot. We celebrate the victory with some music and dancing before heading back to port. All told it’s about an hour and a half of fun including the time on the dock. Please show up at least 20 minutes early to get your pirate name and a tattoo! We look forward to having you aboard. This is one adventure they’ll never forget!

As first time pirates aboard the Black Dagger with our 3 year old, we couldn't have been more impressed with the enthusiasm of the staff; Squirt, Capt. Bones & Stinky Pete! The excursion surpassed all expectations. Parents and kids alike all enjoyed the treasure hunt!

It was worth the money and the optional trinkets (foam sword and pirate bandanna) to purchase were priced fair. I even bought a bandanna to wear. The interaction between Scully & Squirt and the kids was awesome (surprised that they were not early education majors). However, parents: leave the babies on land. It takes away from the experience when parents are running behind their 3 year olds with pacifiers and babies in diapers trying to make them understand the event. A definite for four and over. Will probably be age appropriate for another two years. We'll be back!

My 5yo and 2 1/2yo boys absolutely loved their pirate adventure aboard the Black Dagger! The 2 1/2yo thought it was a hoot even though it was a little confusing for him, but the 5yo was with them every second. "Shipwreck" and "Squirt" were fun, engaging pirates who led the children along on a treasure hunt through the high seas. Captain Bones dropped buoys in the water that the children excitedly discovered, and Shipwreck hauled up a "secret message," "grog," and a treasure chest. But the best part was Stinky Pete .... When we saw the pirate flag raised on a boat, we headed straight for it because he stole the keys to our treasure chest! The the kids all hosed him down with water canons. Stinky Pete -- what a sport! He let himself get completely, utterly, totally soaked with water canons - from both sides of the ship! Then he fell overboard, but not before giving up and tossing the keys to Squirt. Foam pirate swords, pirate bandanas, tattoos, scars, and pirate moustaches ... the kids were all decked out and absolutely adorable. It was my 5yo's birthday, and Squirt gave him a cool pirate flag. I also have to say that the actors playing Squirt and Shipwreck seemed like genuinely kind, good people, and I was happy to have my children in their company for the adventure. Btw, there was one 11yo on the boat and he was "so" over it. Depending on your child, maybe 8-10yo is the oldest age he or she would enjoy it. It's a blast! All the kids (and parents and grandparents!) on board had a terrific time. Highly recommended!
