“Spot on British fare!”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

We ate here last week upon recommendation from a local friend. The atmosphere is cozy - for the winter at least. The wait staff was very helpful and made recommendations to not only one in my party, but I overheard her doing the same for others. Prices are moderate for the area. The menu contains a good mixture of traditional dishes and 'pub grub'. The Fish & Chips were excellently cooked and served in the traditional basket way - ask for a side plate if you have trouble with it. Very nice assortment of beers on tap and by the bottle. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will be back on a regular basis.

“Good food in HH eat elsewhere”
Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

With service we would have had a much better review. Server took our order, brought two drinks and didn't stop by the table again until we were done. Tried to stop the hostess and another lady and they ignored us as well. Finally went to the bar and just paid cash for a couple beers and got some ice water. We had about $60
Worth of appetizers and drinks but all we could figure is they thought we should get meals. We had planned just to have a fun drinks and snack night but became frustrated and paid the bill. It was evident they wanted us to leave as they hadn't offered any service but cleared the table within minutes of asking for the check. After mentioning we had to get our own drinks the only comment
Was "I noticed that" ...
We wouldn't send our friends here
And we can't suggest it for the TA
Readers either . Eat somewhere Else. I added pictures so you can see what we bought that didn't merit service

“Yummy Apple Pie”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

Stopped in for the "best fish and chips" and the deep dish apple pie. Four vacationers: sampled the Ahi Tuna and the Reuben appetizers. The Tuna was fresh, the "reubens" were a different spin on the classic deli offering. Shared a Mediterranean Salad and an order of the "Fish and Chips." The salad was fresh and full of feta, kalamata olives, tomatoes, and fresh romaine. The anticipated fish was heavily battered most of which was left on our plates. Our server, Chuck, brought us another, lightly battered, order which was much better. Would go back but order different main dish, perhaps a seafood topped Mediterranean Salad. Finished off with the Chocolate Bread Pudding and the Deep Dish Apple Pie. The Pie was definitely the star, tart, granny smith apples shined through.

“Zesty=horseradish?!?!”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

Somewhere it was advertised that the lobster roll was the best on the island, I love them so the pub was our first stop. I was not a fan, my husband thought it was "alright." The menu description detailed a "zesty" remoulade sauce, which turned out to be horseradish. The roll was buttery and perfectly toasted. The lobster meat was made up of nice large chunks. The price was reasonable at $13.99 and comes with a side. The coleslaw was and fries were meh.

The atmosphere was noisy, but it is a pub, so to be expected.

The service was mediocre.

Wish we had made it the night before for the live Maine lobsters on Thursday night or that one of us had tried the lobster pot pie. They have a tiki bar that we may go back and visit, most likely the visit will just be for drinks.

Dear Brilynn1979,
While we appreciate you writing in, I think you might have us confused with another establishment on the island. We do not have a "tiki bar," in fact we have no outside bar. We have added an outside patio seating area within the past two years, but in no such way does it resemble a tiki bar, or even houses an outdoor bar. We would appreciate you double checking your review and we will be forwarding correct information to tripadvisor.

“Great lunch”
Reviewed December 18, 2013 via mobile

Large servings and great taste. My wife and I had Seve's Mediterranean salad, one with salmon and the other with chicken. Meat was very tasty. Brother had the chef salad, huge and piled high with meat. Highly recommended.
