“Nice spot for lunch”
Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

On a rainy day in Hilton Head we found Bistro 17 via tripadvisor. Nice location in a marina. Menu was slightly limited, a few salads and sandwiches. I got a chicken crepe and asked for no mushrooms, and was surprised when our waitress said "they're already in there, you can pick them out though". Guess their food is premade? I was skeptical but when it came she was right, they were large and the crepe itself was good. My wife really liked their chicken salad sandwich. Side salad was just meh.

“Great location & setting; good food”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

The setting of this restaurant is lovely, whether eating inside or out. If you are eating outside, you can have pets with you. Strolling the dock before or after eating makes for a pleasant outing. The food is very good. They were a little tight with the bread & cheese; we had a table of 16 people, and had to ask twice for more bread & cheese for everyone to even get one slice. Entrees were all very good, but rather pricey. Even the house wine seemed overpriced at $7 a glass.

“Can eat light or go all out”
Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

We sat outside because we were traveling with our dog. Heaters took care of the chill. Decided to eat light. The Bistro 17 salad with crab cake was outstanding. The crock of onion soup was made with vidalias and lots of gooey cheese. Just the right touch of sweetness. Wife had mussels and loved them. Doggie got a biscuit and a bowl of water with ice. The view over the harbor is an added treat. Service was wonderful too. Everyone was happy. The menu is not extensive but covered all the bases with French flair.

“A Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

This is one of the better restaurants on Hilton Head Island. Nice quality concise menu with good wine pairings. Food was delicious, served hot and tasty. You cannot ask for much more in a Bistro that is quaint and has entertainment as well.

“Nice Bistro Dinnet”
Reviewed February 12, 2013 via mobile

Had been here a few years ago and not much had changed. Typical bistro type menu. My spouse had an excellent French onion soup and crab cake salad...very good. I had duck confit which was excellent. Our server needed some basic training in opening wine, keeping water filled etc. Other server appeared to be more on the ball. There was a singer/guitarist who was most enjoyable. Overall a good choice for a quiet dinner overlooking a marina.
